MEET BLITZ, an 85-lb stunning Doberman male who is waiting for his forever home. Blitz is a large Dobie, almost 2 years old. He is a dark red, almost chocolate color and is magnificent in appearance. Blitz is currently in training in the Los Angeles area to overcome some fears and quirks he has had in the past. He is affectionate with people he knows but in the past was tense and suspicious with strangers, especially if he is in a confined space. He can also be a bit stubborn, though his training is helping tremendously. Blitz gets along great with other dogs-- he has previously lived happily with a female Doberman in his foster home. Because of his size and strength, a home without small children is mandatory. Blitz has high energy and would benefit from having a yard, where he can run and play. Blitz is also hypo-thyroid so is on inexpensive thyroid medication, which will likely be forever. We believe Blitz is of European ancestry and like all Euro-Dobies, he has heavier bones and a larger head than the more petite American Dobies. Blitz is without question a lot of dog! But he is a lot of really good dog. Doberman or large-dog experience is a must for his adoption. Please email for an application.

He is potty trained and understands basic household routines, making him an easy companion in the home. He has a calm and pleasant temperament, is social, and enjoys attention and companionship. He does well with consistent structure and would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, engagement, and affection. This decision to rehome him has not been easy. Due to the owner’s health condition, we are no longer able to provide the level of care, activity, and attention he deserves. Our priority is finding a loving and stable home where he can continue to grow, be cared for properly, and live a happy life. He would be a wonderful addition to a family or individual who has the time and ability to meet his needs and give him the love he deserves.

He likely has some sort of neuro condition, as he often turns in circles, but he doesn't let it dampen his spirits... he just wants to live out his golden years with a family who is willing to see past his circling and enjoy him as the positive being that he is.
