Meet Mr. Fruffles! Fruffles is a blue male Doberman who is about 3-4 years old. He is medium sized, and probably won't get bigger than 70 lbs. Mr. Fruffles is just a happy energetic boy, and is wonderful with children - he loves them and they love him! (In fact, he was named by the little kids whose yard he came into and played with when he was a stray!) Fruffles is also great with other dogs (male and female), and his best friend (also a foster pup) is a neutered and very high-energy 80-lb male doberman! When he came to our rescue, he was infested with fleas and ticks, and as a result, Mr. Fruffles had lost most of his fur! It is growing back slowly, but he is still mostly just fuzzy right now. :). Due to that he is a blue Doberman (blues are prone to alopecia/hair loss), its very unlikely that he will grow back a full thick coat. But we think his personality and adorable-ness more than makes up for it! Mr. Fruffles does tend to give you "hugs" or "cuddles" with his mouth (he does it very softly), so don't let it alarm you - he won't hurt you. Thats just how he shows affection. Meet Daffy 2.0! Daffy is approximately 4 years old, and is the sweetest and most loving of pups. He is quiet, solemn, but so very loyal. He is the goodest boy and crates very well. He is a good protector of the home (not aggressively, but he'll let you know if someone is at the door or sneaking around your property!!!). Daffy was found in the middle of the desert, dehydrated and dying from the heat. The person who found him saved his life, and surrendered him over to our rescue. Daffy was adopted once before, and was best friend and best companion to his hooman mom and grandma. He would spend endless hours sleeping next to and keeping his bedridden hooman grandma company. Unfortunately, Daffy was returned on Christmas morning for "snapping" (he never made contact) at a toddler who startled him (he also didn't know the toddler, who was visiting for Christmas and didn't live there). He was returned to us the same day... sigh. Because Daffy 2.0 is a pup who know his place in the pack (at the top, that is), he can only be around submissive male dogs. He's fine with female dogs. If you give him a chance, he'll show you he can be your best friend and life companion. Truly an amazing loving dog. Meet Harley, a 3.5 year old black and tan Doberboy. He has a docked tail, and ears that are cropped but do not stand. He is a tall and solidly built pup at 95 lbs healthy weight! He is friendly, easy on leash, and has good focus. He rides well in the car (quiet, doesn't make a peep!), loves walkies/adventures, and has an endless supply of kisses for people who come to say hi! He is also a wonderful dog for show-and-tell at work, as he is so friendly and well-behaved! Oh, did we mention handsome? Harley had a previous incident where he nipped a toddler who startled him from a nap on the sofa. (At this point, Harley had lived with this family for 4 months without incident, and the family loved him. The injury also wasn't serious - just a scratch.) However, because of this little nip and because Harley is a large dog, we do not recommend him for a home with children under 8 years of age. Meet Suede! Suede is a gorgeous 1 year old white male Doberman. Suede’s life started off really rough! He was found on the freeway with his front leg dangling broken, likely after he was hit by a car. After a few painful surgeries and a rough recovery, Suede is now finally ready to find his furever home! He is a total love bug with people he knows. He has stranger danger but warms up quickly with treats and will usually climb into your lap and stick his tongue up your nose! Did we mention he is DOG FRIENDLY? He loves every dog he has ever met; he’s such a friendly boy that he is bullied by and is terrified of a little paralyzed chihuahua in my office. Big dogs he will play with until his stump of a tail falls off. He’s good with our disabled goldendoodle and they whack at each other on the floor as she cannot really walk. How funny of a pup is Suede? He’s sure to keep you entertained. As gorgeous as he is, Suede can only go to a home that is familiar with the breed and is committed to training, as he is a typical Dobie: high energy, powerful, and will need boundaries and guidance from his owner. He’s a big baby and super playful. However, he has some issues with reactivity while on leash, and will redirect-snap at handler; however, his attention can be easily redirected with a piece of cheese.
