Story
Meet Dodger! This handsome Dobie mix is about 6 years old and weighs 70 lbs. Dodger came to us a scared dog after spending over a year and a half at the shelter. He has really shown us what great potential he has. Dodger is learning to be crate trained and loves his walks. He does well on leash and takes corrections with ease. He is still learning not to pull but he catches on quickly as to what his human expects of him. He has been non-reactive passing people and other dogs. Dodger will need a strong leader to give him the guidance and structure he deserves. He would do best with someone who understands the breed or a similar breed. Dodger wants to please so with the right adopter to be patient and show him what a routine and consistency is, he is going to make a great addition to the right family. Story
Meet Philippe who is the epitome of a velcro dog. Dobermanns tend to flourish in active households where they can be involved in everything going on all the time. He will need a strong owner to set boundaries. Philippe listens well and is working on his leash skills. Due to his size, he would be best in a home with older children and with an experienced owner. Philippe loves to walk to the grass and lays down for attention and scratches. We are still getting to know this handsome guy and so far he has been non-reactive to people and dogs on walks. Does Philippe sound like the dog you'd be willing to put in the work to make part of your family? He would love a foster or adopter to start his new life. Vida IS AVAILALBE (updated 07-26-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Vida, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22770&name=VidaMeet our &#39V litter&#39: Venus, Vida, Valerie, Vega and Valor! They are part of a litter of 12 puppies that were found in a field in the city of Perris. There were several stray dogs in the area but no obvious mom dog. The puppies were rescued by Good Samaritans who took them in, cleaned and fed them, and did their best to find good homes for them. They were able to place 7 puppies before asking Coastal GSR for help finding homes for the rest.We had this adorable litter DNA tested so that we could know for sure what breeds they are! The results are in: Doberman, Husky, German Shepherd and a small amount of Chow Chow. They are smart puppies that don&#39t seem to be phased at all by their rough start. The puppies are young but are in the process of being housebroken, learning to use a dog door, and being crate trained! They are making great progress!Vida is affectionate and loves to be held and cuddled. She likes to be close to her foster mom and is very people oriented. Vida has been around the foster&#39s large dogs and is not afraid of them. She handles them quite well so a home with another dog would be great for Vida. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.July 26, 2024, 5:38 am

Story
Meet Peyton!   She is a sweet, and loving Doberman/Pointer mix around 7 months old. She’s potty-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps through the night. She walks well on a leash and is learning to sit nicely. She likes to chew bones and is curious about learning fetch. She likes to cuddle, give affection, and is very dog-friendly. She makes her foster family laugh all the time, especially when she steals their socks and carries them around the house. She’s in a foster home with kids but prefers being around the adults, she would do best in a house that doesn’t have young kids, because she prefers a quieter household. She can’t wait to find her forever home.    Meet Adoptable Peyton!   She is a sweet, and loving Doberman/Pointer mix around 7 months old. Story
Meet Brooke, a dog whose sweetness is only rivaled by her intelligence. Her curiosity makes every day an adventure, whether it's exploring a new walking route or learning a new trick. Brooke has mastered the 'sit' command and walks like a dream, making her an excellent companion for leisurely strolls or more active outings. She's a loyal friend, always eager to show affection to humans she loves. While Brooke does have her preferences when it comes to canine companions, she's generally sociable. Brooke's sweet, smart, and loyal nature makes her the perfect addition to any family. Cats? They're not for Brooke. She has not been around kids, but I can be a bit rambunctious, so would do best with older kids. She's not just a pet, she's a companion ready to bring joy and unconditional love to her forever home.July 25, 2024, 8:48 pm
