Story
She is 8 months the biggest lover girl ever, breaks my heart to give her away but my mom just moved into a smaller apartment which do not allow animals. She loves walks, playing, sleeping, and she love loves to eat. She is very well behaved sits, lays down, goes to bed, potty trained, and does paw all that. Id preferably like to rehome her somewhere I can visit her every once and a while but the main goal is finding her a forever home. Shes moved around a lot passed couple months and breaks my heart because shes such a great dog. Does amazing with people and other pets. She does need to be somewhere were shes able to be walked at least once a day or have a yard she can run in because she is very energetic but that honestly my only main concern that she's able to get her exercise and wont be crated a lot

Story
Meet Kermit! 🐾💚 This 13-week-old Doberman/Shepherd sweetheart is an absolute heart-stealer. With his bright, expressive eyes, soft tri-color markings, and the cutest little button nose, Kermit has a way of looking right into your soul. He’s playful, gentle, and so eager to be loved — the kind of puppy who reaches up with his paw just to get a little closer to you. Kermit is wonderfully friendly and thrives around kids, other dogs, and even cats. He loves to snuggle, curl up next to you, and soak up all the affection he can get. He’s already doing great with crate training and picking up house training quickly for his age. Kermit is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a family who will adore him as much as he adores them. If you’re looking for a loving, soft-hearted pup who just wants to be your best friend, Kermit is your boy. 💛 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Story
Nox is looking for a home — he’s a story of resilience, growth, and second chances. Pulled from a shelter by our trainer at @gentlewolfdogtraining in early 2025, Nox arrived severely malnourished and clearly suffered a difficult past. Today, he’s healthy, strong, and ready for the right person to step into his world. At roughly 3 years old, Nox is a young adult with a big personality. He’s a well-traveled gentleman (no really, he flies with his foster) who thrives in nature - hiking trails, open space, quiet environments. He’s a dog who wants to lean into capable leadership, not chaos. He experienced the worst kind of cruelty but does not need babying — he needs a human who understands what structured support looks like. Someone who can stay calm, think clearly, and provide guidance, also ideally has experience with the breed. When Nox feels understood and like his person has his back, a different dog appears. He's goofy, charming, sometimes hilariously unsure of how to manage his big body, and full of potential. With other dogs, he does well under clear leadership and benefits from clear boundaries. Nox is not a beginner’s dog. His past has left marks that surface when he becomes overwhelmed, especially during transitions into rest. Nox will only be adopted to an experienced home — someone who respects what a dog with a story needs, and has the means, empathy, and skill set to continue his journey. His next chapter starts with the right person — if that sounds like you, please fill out our adoption application: dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Meet the REAL Sundance Kid — and oh yes, he’s really a true survivor. If you’ve ever wondered what true courage looks like… it looks a lot like Sundance. This sweet Doberman mix was found living in a homeless encampment with his best friend, Butch — doing whatever he could just to survive. Life hadn’t been kind, but Sundance never stopped believing. Then came a twist no dog should ever face — a devastating and painful leg injury that landed him on the euthanasia list. But Sundance had other plans. He fought. He survived. And somehow, he came out with even more love to give. He lost a leg — but not his light. Not his heart. Not his hope. Why everyone falls head over heels for Sundance: Just over a year old — still just a big puppy at heart About 70 lbs of gentle, soulful sweetness Fully healed and THRIVING as a tri-pawed dog Very dog-friendly Loving, grateful, and overflowing with resilience altered, UTD vaccines, microchip This boy deserves a soft couch, a safe home, and someone who sees how incredibly special he is. If you’re interested in adopting Sundance, please reach out for the application link or look in bio And please SHARE — his person is out there please remember we are all volunteers, incomplete applications will not be processed If you are interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application and we will reach out to you within 48 hours to start the approval process.  https://galsbestpal.com/adoption/ It’s ok if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for, we are experts in matchmaking and can talk with you and figure out what PAL would be a good fit for your home!  If you would like to inquire about saving a life & becoming a FOSTER HERO, please fill out an application and a FOSTER HEROES TEAM volunteer will reach out to you to go over our lifesaving foster based rescue program! https://galsbestpal.com/foster/ To learn more about our mission, and to join our mailing list go to https://galsbestpal.com/ Follow us on FB and Instagram for extra photos, updates & videos of our available dogs. We can never guarantee how a transition will affect the dog. GBP is here to help make the transition as easy as possible but time + patience are also important when adopting a new PAL.  Breed Mixes & Ages are a best guess and can not be guaranteed** ##2617873##

Shea has a delightful blend of playfulness and a hint of shyness that makes her all the more endearing. While she may be a bit reserved at first, she quickly warms up and becomes an affectionate companion. Shea is not just good with other dogs; she's also great with kids, making her an ideal addition to a family seeking a gentle and loving canine friend. At her age, Shea is at a critical stage of development, eager to learn and grow. She would thrive in a home that provides her with patience, love, and opportunities for socialization and training. Encouraging her to build confidence will help her become a wonderful and well-adjusted adult dog.
