Story
And along comes Mary, the sweetest Doberman girl you will ever meet.   This girl is barely one year old and weighs no more than 45 pounds with a little more healthy weight to add to her previously starved body.   Coming to Critter Cavalry Rescue as a stray that was taken to a Tennessee shelter, she stood out with her sweet eyes that just begged you to love her.  She has no problems with other dogs big or small, but she does like to chase the cats and they are stressed about this.  We are changing her current home to one with no cats and waiting for a family who will nurture her body and soul.  She is crate trained, housebroken and has a beautiful spirit that wants to please and love you.  Mary the Doberman is ALL LOVE for her humans and will be a 55 girl when at her optimum weight in the next few months.    She has no character flaws and is a bright and loving girl that will curl up with you to watch the world go by and to make your life sweeter.  We are looking for a fenced yard in her new home.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested and can provide the best home possible for the best girl that deserves a richer life        PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 22, 2025, 7:02 pm

Story
Meet Kermit! 🐾💚 This 13-week-old Doberman/Shepherd sweetheart is an absolute heart-stealer. With his bright, expressive eyes, soft tri-color markings, and the cutest little button nose, Kermit has a way of looking right into your soul. He’s playful, gentle, and so eager to be loved — the kind of puppy who reaches up with his paw just to get a little closer to you. Kermit is wonderfully friendly and thrives around kids, other dogs, and even cats. He loves to snuggle, curl up next to you, and soak up all the affection he can get. He’s already doing great with crate training and picking up house training quickly for his age. Kermit is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a family who will adore him as much as he adores them. If you’re looking for a loving, soft-hearted pup who just wants to be your best friend, Kermit is your boy. 💛 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
Nox is looking for a home — he’s a story of resilience, growth, and second chances. Pulled from a shelter by our trainer at @gentlewolfdogtraining in early 2025, Nox arrived severely malnourished and clearly suffered a difficult past. Today, he’s healthy, strong, and ready for the right person to step into his world. At roughly 3 years old, Nox is a young adult with a big personality. He’s a well-traveled gentleman (no really, he flies with his foster) who thrives in nature - hiking trails, open space, quiet environments. He’s a dog who wants to lean into capable leadership, not chaos. He experienced the worst kind of cruelty but does not need babying — he needs a human who understands what structured support looks like. Someone who can stay calm, think clearly, and provide guidance, also ideally has experience with the breed. When Nox feels understood and like his person has his back, a different dog appears. He's goofy, charming, sometimes hilariously unsure of how to manage his big body, and full of potential. With other dogs, he does well under clear leadership and benefits from clear boundaries. Nox is not a beginner’s dog. His past has left marks that surface when he becomes overwhelmed, especially during transitions into rest. Nox will only be adopted to an experienced home — someone who respects what a dog with a story needs, and has the means, empathy, and skill set to continue his journey. His next chapter starts with the right person — if that sounds like you, please fill out our adoption application: dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
This precious girl named Minnie Mae was saved by our rescue on her last day at a rural shelter that was overcrowded. She is in a very temporary foster situation and looking for her own family. She could also benefit from a long term foster that is equipped to walk her etc. Minnie is not safe at her current foster home as they are unable to walk her and she has gotten away from them at times. She always comes back to their house, but it's not safe for her to be running loose. Minnie Mae is approximately 2 years old and appears to be a doberman/lab mix.Minnie Mae is active and playful and loves to go out for walks and explore in the yard. She also loves car rides. She is 100% house trained and has been good with all people she's met. Minnie loves her toys and will occupy herself, but also needs to get her energy out. We recommend a fenced yard where she can run. Her ideal situation would be with someone who's home alot so they can keep her busy. If interested in FOSTERING or ADOPTING this girl, please contact Julie on 919 624 0059.

Story
Meet Ruby!Ruby is the kind of girl that you're going to have to work for. You're going to have to put in the time and effort for her affections. You're going to have to prove yourself because Ruby knows exactly what she deserves which is nothing less than absolutely everything. We love a girl who knows her own worth! Ruby is a four year old Doberman mix weighing just over 50lbs. She's a high energy girl that's going to need A LOT of exercise to keep her happy and healthy. She loves toys, especially balls and plushies, and is pretty good on a leash except for when she gets excited and then all bets are off. Strangers are tough for her and multiple meets to get her comfortable with you is going to be a MUST but once Ruby likes you? No one will ever love you better. Ruby does well with other dogs and would do best with a confident, outgoing pup that can match her energy levels but also knows how to disengage when she's had enough. She's very nonconfrontational and has shown that she'll choose to walk away over any other kind of reaction. She would do well with dog-friendly cats, but she's been pretty neutral in the face of a cat hissing/swatting at her. An adult only home with minimal strangers coming/going would be best to keep her stress levels to a minimum. Basically, Ruby is a gorgeous, strikingly smart, incredibly loyal girl that will completely devote herself to the people she loves. Story
Foley here is a large handsome boy looking for a family. Foley was transferred from another local shelter to broaden his horizons in search of his new home. Foley is a very big boy with a lot of love to give. He is very friendly to people and curious about the world around him. He loves to sniff and walk in the woods on the trails on our property. He is strong on leash and has frequently barked at other dogs that he sees. This just means that he needs some manners training, but in the meantime, he needs someone who is strong enough to hold him. Foley would like to be your only pet. He isn't a big fan of other dogs and is definitely too big, energetic, and prey driven for a cat. He wants to get all the attention!! If you think this handsome giant is your new best friend, give the shelter a call at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions to leave a voicemail or speak to someone about making an appointment to meet him!
