Meet Nala, the longest resident at Hinton SPCA. She has been with us over 750 days. Nala is eager to find her forever home. Nala is a friendly and exuberant soul who adores people, but she prefers to be the only dog in the household. She's currently in the process of learning her basic manners and commands, showing great progress. Nala is a fantastic travel companion, riding smoothly in vehicles. She would flourish in an experienced dog owner's care, especially one with a large yard who is committed to furthering her training and providing the love and attention she deserves. Give Nala the chance to shine in your home and be rewarded with endless love and loyalty in return!

Story
Hi, I’m Bella, and my journey has been quite a ride. In July 2022, I was found in pretty rough shape—neglected, abused, and beaten. Thanks to the incredible response from EARS and my foster home, I started to heal and even thought I’d found my forever home shortly after. Unfortunately, after I was adopted, I was moved from place to place and ended up abandoned, injured and in need of rescue once again. Mid-April 2024, I was saved by EARS and returned to a foster home. With the love and care I’ve received, I’m making great strides in my physical and mental health. Under the gentle care of my current temporary foster, I’ve blossomed into a vibrant and playful 2 year-old pup. At a lean 65 pounds, I’m energetic and love long walks and runs. I’m starting to show my true colours, engaging warmly with my foster family and displaying a strong sense of loyalty. While I may still be hesitant around new people, especially the veterinary staff, I’m slowly gaining confidence and learning to trust. Unfortunately my time with my temporary foster family came to an end and I find myself at a boarding kennel. I’m now looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt family who can offer a nurturing environment where I can acclimate to new experiences and people at my own pace. If you have a loving home and the patience to help me continue my transformation, I’d love to meet you and show you just how special I can be.

Story
Hi, I’m Roo, a 2.5-year-old bundle of energy with a big heart and even bigger athletic abilities! I’m a spirited girl who’s mastered the art of jumping 8-foot fences—don’t worry, though, I never stray far from home. With the right leash training and socialization, I know I can channel my enthusiasm into being an amazing companion. I’m playful and affectionate with my people, especially when they’re patient and kind (I’ve got a soft spot for female handlers). Small animals aren’t really my thing, but if you’ve got an acreage where I can stretch my legs and learn to perfect my recall skills, I’ll be in my element. While farm life isn’t quite my style, I’d love a home where I can enjoy outdoor adventures and bond with my humans. If you’re looking for an athletic, loyal, and loving partner to share your space and your heart, I might just be your perfect match!
