She loves chasing frisbees and jumping high to catch them mid-air, but also loves cuddling in bed or laying by your feet when you sit down. She’s 3 years. Silly, extra derpy and sweet. Always ready for belly rubs. She would do best in a home that can keep up with her spirit. Someone who has plenty of yard for her to play. She’s been loved and cared for from the moment she was born, and she’s ready to find a family that will cherish her as much as we do. House trained, kennel trained. She knows “sit” very well, and “stay” when it comes to her food as well as “okay” to eat. Rehoming because of too many dogs and also pregnancy. She is part of an unexpected litter. Fixed, has her shots and microchipped through Animal Rescue New Orleans. Between 50-60 lbs. We are willing to meet in areas surrounding Houma.

Story

Cookie is a 3-year-old, 45-lb sweetheart. She loves toys, exploring, and working for treats. She can be shy at first and may bark or growl at new people, but with patience she warms up into a very affectionate, loyal dog. Cookie gets along well with other dogs and does fine with cats but only under supervision. She hasn’t had much experience with children. She’s also a bit of an escape artist so she’ll need secure fencing and someone who can keep a close eye on her outdoors. Cookie is kennel trained and knows “sit,” “stay,” “no,” and “okay.” She’ll thrive in a home that can give her plenty of play, structure, attention, and love. Unfortunately if we can’t find a home for her soon we will have to send her to the shelter.

Story

We rescued Daisy from a difficult situation, and from the start she showed us what a loving, affectionate girl she can be. She absolutely thrives on pets, cuddles, playtime, and being close to her people. Over time, we’ve learned more about what Daisy needs to feel safe and comfortable. She does have significant food-guarding behavior around other pets, and she becomes anxious with loud or chaotic environments. We’ve been able to manage these challenges, but with our family growing, and our household becoming louder and busier, we no longer feel confident that this is the best environment for her. Daisy would truly shine in a calmer home, with no small children or pets, where she can be the center of attention. She would do wonderfully with an older teenager or adult who enjoys being active, as she loves exercise, playtime, and simply being included in daily life. She is a loving, loyal pup with so much affection to give.
