Story
owner surrender due to unwanted litterSweet Sissy came to us with a gentle soul, entrusted to us by a loving widow who could no longer hold her close. Imagine, spending all her life outdoors, the open sky her only roof. When she arrived in November 2022, she carried shyness like a soft blanket, seeking safe havens in quiet corners. We understand, dear Sister, it takes time to bloom when the world has felt uncertain. But with each patient step, her tail wags a little longer, her eyes shine with trust. She's discovered the joy of playing with fellow furry friends, their barks a symphony of newfound companionship. When she needs a moment to herself, she retreats to her cozy crate, a space bathed in sunlight where she can drift off to peaceful naps. Sister longs for a loving hand to stroke her fur, a gentle voice to whisper reassurances. Could you be the haven she seeks? Open your heart to her tender spirit, and watch her blossom into the amazing dog she was always meant to be.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Although Brownie is a larger dog, he is very patient and loving. He can be energetic and very playful, but never gets rough or overly rowdy with others. After playtime and potty breaks outside, he loves to come inside to his placing mat with his favorite blanket and take naps. He gets along great with cats and other dogs, small and large. Due to his patient and loving nature, he has a certain peace about him.April 25, 2024, 6:31 pm

Story
This is Chocolate Chip, though we all call him Chip. Sweet Chip has a story that tugs at the heartstrings. You see, he was left all alone in the little dog park at Corinth City Park. People saw him, worried about the poor little guy, but nobody stepped up to help. He was just left there. Corinth has an animal shelter, but they didn't have space for him. Chip was scared and hungry in that dog park, left all by himself. Luckily, a gentle woman who visits the park with her own dogs discovered Chip. She couldn't bring him home with her, but she brought him food and water every day. The people in the city were so upset about his situation, but nobody seemed willing to do anything. Chip was starting to lose hope, except for the kindness of this one special lady. It took time for him to trust her, but she was so patient and kind. That wonderful lady contacted the Foundation, and that's how Chip got his second chance. Sadly, when the vet examined him, they found heartworms. But they were ready to help! Chip immediately started medicine to fight those heartworms and keep him protected every month against getting them again. He found a loving foster family with other playful dogs to be his friends, and lots of humans to give him attention. He's such a clever boy, and now he knows all the basic obedience commands! He's house trained, loves his cozy crate, and snuggles are his favorite thing. He's even best friends with Lucy, another rescue dog who lives there. Chip is great with other dogs, cats, and new people – he just needs a moment to sniff them out first. Then, he's ready to sit by your feet and soak up all the love he deserves. Car rides and long walks are his favorites, and oh, does he adore his toys and blankets! Chip finished his heartworm treatment, and he's a happy healthy boy now. A home with other pups to play with and a big fenced yard would be perfect for him. He's learned to relax inside on a cozy spot or in his crate, and he's the perfect companion for movie nights, especially if it involves sharing popcorn and doggy snacks. Chip might be a little spoiled, but only because he deserves the very best. If you're looking for a medium-sized furry friend to snuggle up with, Chip is the sweetheart for you!
