Story
🐾 Courtesy Post – Meet Rosie 🐾 Rosie is a sweet senior girl looking for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and secure. She’s a small mixed breed with a beautiful blonde and white coat, weighing just over 10 pounds — the perfect size for cuddles and companionship. ✨ About Rosie: • Female, approx. 6.5–7 years old • Spayed • Housebroken • Knows basic commands like sit and come • Good with children (has been around toddlers and preteens) 🐶 With other pets: Rosie has lived around many animals — both big and small dogs, and even cats. She may act like she wants to chase a cat at first, but she has successfully coexisted peacefully in the same home. With dogs, she generally does well but prefers having her own space and can be a little possessive of her person. 💔 Personality & special considerations: Rosie bonds deeply with her owner and struggles with severe separation anxiety. She is very smart and can escape kennels or closed rooms when stressed. She also does not tolerate nail trims well. There has been one bite incident in four years — involving a stranger who rushed quickly into the home. Otherwise, Rosie is a loving, loyal girl who just needs a calm, patient environment where she feels secure. 🩺 Health: No known medical issues. Not currently established with a vet and vaccines are believed to be last done in 2023. 🍽 Food: Retriever brand (Tractor Supply – green bag) ⸻ ❤️ Ideal home for Rosie: A quieter household with someone who is home often or able to help her work through her separation anxiety. She would thrive with an owner who understands senior dogs and is willing to give her consistency, reassurance, and love. Rosie has so much affection to give — she just needs the right person to give her a chance. 📩 If you’re interested in Rosie please apply https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TDRM/Dog (Please share to help Rosie find her forever home 🐾)

Story
Courtesy Post – Meet Belle! 🐾 This beautiful girl is Belle, an almost one-year-old Boston Terrier with the sweetest heart. 💕 She is fawn and white, spayed, and just over 10 pounds — a perfect little companion size! Belle has been loved since she was just 12 weeks old and has grown up in a home with: ✅ Small dogs ✅ Large dogs ✅ Cats ✅ Small children She gets along wonderfully with everyone and truly enjoys being part of a family. Belle is housebroken, very affectionate, and has never shown any aggression — she has never bitten and is a very sweet-natured pup. Like many young dogs, she still has some puppy energy and can be jumpy and a bit destructive, so she would do best with someone willing to continue basic training and give her plenty of playtime and guidance. She currently lives peacefully with: • A senior Chihuahua • An 8-year-old Beagle • A 3-year-old Lab Belle would make a loving companion for an active home ready to help her continue growing into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. If you’re interested in giving Belle a wonderful forever home, please apply: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TDRM/Dog

Story
Meet Tarzan! He`s a pup on the smaller side at only 40 lbs. He`s 2 years old and came to us as a stray from Gulfport Animal Control with a limp. After x-rays we decided he needed a surgery to help with his hip and since recovering he`s a master of the zoomies and is having the time of his life running around the yard now. He`s happy and friendly - we believe he is housebroken, and he is waiting for his life after the shelter. He likes other dogs and takes correction well if he gets a little too rowdy. He has tested positive for heartworms but if you adopt this cute little guy his heartworm treatment is FULLY Sponsored by our Have a Heart fund! What are you waiting for - come start your adventure with Tarzan today!
