Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ruby was like a legend in a rural area south of Weatherford.  She has been seen by many individuals and many have tried to help her but she wouldn't let anyone close to her.  Ruby has been a mother many times and some of her puppies have been rescued. After one of her litter of pups died and our rescue efforts turned to traping her.  After several days, she was caught and the process of vetting and building trust began.  Although she didn't trust us, she never showed her teeth or growled.  Check out her video to see her personality.  She does enjoy playing now, something that took several months. She is still very shy but has gotten more comfortable with people. She has been in the shelter over two years!Looking for a super special home for this girl.  With a one on one situation, we believe that she will build the trust she needs to be a companion.  She does well with other dogs, so a home with another dog might help her adjust as well.  Cats are not her friends.  She will need a secure fenced yard as she is still considered a flight risk.  Micro-chippedAdoption Fee: $150      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 20, 2023, 1:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gloria is one of three female pups that were dumped in the country.  Near starving, they found their way to a friendly house and were rescued.   Gloria is the pup that is appearing to be one wanting attention from people.  She follows you around and bumps your hand wanting to be played with or just rubbed on her ears.  Starved from more than food.   We are working on leash training and obedience.  She is smart but just has a lot of energy to get out during our visits.  Lots of potential and such a sweet face. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Oreo was abandoned near a small community.  He followed a family dog into a yard and the lady started grooming him so he thought he had found his home.  However, this family has their limit of pets could not keep him.  He is very playful and social with other dogs.  He is an active dog and loves to zoom around the area. Oreo likes people of all ages and sizes.  He needs a good secure fence to prevent him from being in traffic which he is clueless about.   Oreo is fully vetted and micro-chipped.... ready for a forever home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Five pups were rescued from roadside near traffic.  It took some time and patience to coax the pups from hiding places but hotdogs helped.  May Belle is growing fast, we believe she will be a large dog of about 50 pounds.  She loves active play, has a good run pace.  She is somewhat food protective, not unusual for animals that were starved.  She is intelligent and learns routines quickly.  We are working on basic obedience commands. She is strong willed and an experienced dog owner is an advantage to finding her potential.  Micro-chipped.Adoption Fee:  $150Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 20, 2023, 1:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BOBBY SAYS,, 'I'M THE CUTE ONE!'   Watch VIDEO below....These pups were found abandoned under a bridge near Butler Oklahoma.  They are friendly with people and have lots of curiosity and energy.  The Breed best guess is the Mountain Cur  which is listed as a hunting and protection animal.  Their adult size is between 16 and 26 inches and 30 to 60 pounds.  There are stories that when a new territory was being settled, they would take a pregnant Mountain Cur so that the pups would provide protection to the new settlement.Mountain Curs are not a good choice for those who live in apartments because they require a lot of space and exercise. They’re also very intelligent and often times stubborn. These dogs do best with experienced pet parents who can assert their roles as leaders while being diligent with obedience training.  Mountain Curs, being avid hunters, have a high prey drive and as such, they may not be suitable for families with other small pets or small childrenThe breed is also known for 'Extreme Intelligence'.  Lots of potential for these puppies!  Needs secure fenced yard.Micro-ChippedAdoption Fee:  $150Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 20, 2023, 1:25 pm
