Story
Sandy showed up in our neighborhood last March. She is a perfect loving dog. At almost 7 yrs old she is leash trained, housebroken, loving, travels well and gets along with balanced dogs. She is perfectly happy being loved on all day. She is basically indifferent with other dogs. She will sniff then go about her business.. She has never learned to play. We do not know how long she was by herself but came from New Caney, TX where owner gave her to neighbor when she was 2.5 yrs. old because she always escaped. Vet said she has very worn down teeth due to chewing her way out of kennels. cables, chains, etc. It took her a couple of weeks to feel at home. She is a loving gentle giant and very vocal when she wants to be loved on. .She does not bark and is not food, people, or dog aggressive. She loves everyone and never met a stranger.

Story
Kia is her name. She is two years old, spayed, and up to date on all her shots. She is also on medication for fleas, heartworms, and ticks. Kia is very sweet and people-friendly. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but her behavior around cats is unknown. She has a predatory drive, as evidenced by her love of chasing squirrels, and is not food aggressive, although she does resource guard her bowl. I am willing to drive to a neighboring state to find her a suitable home. I would keep her, but I can’t have her resource guarding with the kids who love to play in everything. I’ve been told that this breed needs someone who knows how to handle them.

Story
A family was leaving the neighborhood and just gave this pup to my son. Unfortunately, we are just too busy and this pup needs more attention than we can provide. He’s a puppy probably a few months old. I believe Collie. He’s playful and adorable and I hope we can find him the right family to love him and be active with him.

Story
Hello everyone, meet Kado! This loving boy was dumped and abandoned near our road about 3-4 months ago. Our vet says he is around 4 years old and is thankfully in very good health now. He loves to swim and play whenever he gets the chance to, he is also very good with cats and other people. He took a long time to adjust to doing normal dog activities, you can tell the internal scars are still there from previous owners but he has blossomed into the most loving and playful dog we ever could have hoped for. Unfortunately, our current living situation isnt ideal for a dog because we live in a camper. We also already have 4 cats so it’s been a struggle to live in such a small space with 5 different animals and we were not planning to keep him when we rescued him. We havent had luck with rehoming him but we want to give him the best possible home we can find because he is an amazing dog and i know he will make a good life long buddy to someone who can adequately take care of him!

Story
Brinks has scars that appear to tell a story. We have no idea what caused them but whatever it was it had to hurt. Brinks however is a happy go lucky boy who left all that in the past where it belongs. Going forward Brinks loves life and everyone he meets. He is very smart and obedient and has shown over and over that he is a lover not a fighter. He is a energetic, young boy who definitely needs a playmate that matches his energy. We believe he might be a bit much for smaller dogs and requires dogs his size that don’t mind a in your face dog because our boy does not believe in any personal space when it comes to other dogs 🤪. He absolutely loves people and gives hugs when he wants to show his love ❤️. Brinks is crate trained and a quiet boy in his crate. He also does not have accidents in his crate as long as he gets out in a timely manner. He is around 1 year young and up to date on all his vaccines as well as microchipped and neutered. He received a six month Proheart injection to keep him HW negative. Brinks would love to find a home for the Holidays.

Story
This precious girl was adopted in 2017 and just returned due the adopter having another baby!! She is a large girl, but very gentle. Marsha LOVES children, is housebroken, walks well on a leash and is just close to being the perfect dog!! She is very sad, not being around kids and having to be in a crate, so she is really hoping for another home that will be FOREVER. Are you that family?
