Story
Zero came into my life at a time when I didn’t even realize I needed him. I wasn’t really looking for a dog, just scrolling one day when I saw this little face that instantly caught my attention. Something about him felt different like he already belonged to me before we even met. When I finally went to see him, he didn’t bark or act wild like the others. He just looked at me, calm and curious, like he was choosing me too. From that moment, it was a wrap.Bringing Zero home felt natural, like he had always been part of my world. He adjusted quick, learned my routines, and became my shadow. Whether I’m having a good day or a rough one, he’s right there loyal, real, and always in my corner. He’s more than just a dog; he’s family, a reminder of how the right connection can find you when you least expect it. I’m leaving to Korea soon and just need to rehome him to a great loving caring home.

Story
I am looking for a loving and stable home for my 2-year-old purebred Giant Schnauzer male. He is very playful, intelligent, and full of personality. He is crate trained, knows some basic commands, and does well with structure and routine. He is an active dog who enjoys attention, playtime, and being around people. He is loyal, energetic, affectionate, and very smart — all the wonderful traits the breed is known for. I would love to find him a home where he can continue to get plenty of exercise, consistency, and love. Ideally, his new family will understand large working breeds and have the time and space to help him continue thriving. This decision has not been easy, so I’m hoping to find someone who will truly treat him like family and give him the happy life he deserves.

Story
About 4 years ago we were on a trip to the Ozarks with some friends when we found Peter along with a mom and 2 siblings. They were so adorable we all claimed one. They were all scared. And very skittish with people. The vet estimated the pups to be a few months old. They were scared of people. So, we brought Peter everywhere, including Home Depot. My spouse is military. We move a lot. However, I’m on my own a lot because of my Spouse’s job. I’ve had 2 back procedures and 2 back surgeries in the past 5 months. So, I’m not rehoming Peter because he’s a bad boy. He’s an excellent boy! I’m recovering at home alone while my spouse is deployed. He really needs a home with attention and with someone who can play and rough around with. He gets very excited when happy. I love that about him and his sweet wet nose. But we can’t give him what he needs. He needs affection, attention, exercise and all the rest. He’s great! He’s come a long way and deserves so much more.He loves brushing his teeth!

Story
Meet Eve !!! Eve is a beautiful 8-month-old Dachshund/German Pointer mix with a heart just as lovely as her soulful eyes. Though she was sadly abandoned at a young age, Eve has shown incredible resilience and is now happily settled with her foster family. She's learning that the world can be kind again - and she's ready to find a forever family to call her own. Eve is: 1. Wonderful with other dogs 2. Affectionate and eager to bond 3. Young, playful, and full of potential! 4. Spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm negative and and micro-chipped. With her pointer curiosity and dachshund charm, Eve would thrive in a loving home where she can enjoy outdoor time in a secure garden and daily long walks to explore the world. She's at that perfect age - still a puppy at heart but old enough to start showing her loyal, devoted nature. All she needs now is a family who will promise her what she deserves: stability, kindness, and love forever. Could Eve be the missing piece in your home? Please contact Hannah 512-466-4129 for additional information. A $200 donation fee applies for medical and food expenses.

Story
Hi there… Ramona here. 🐾 I’m a lovely nearly 9-year-old Pitbull lady who is ready to find my very own forever home. I’m past the silly puppy stage and have settled nicely into being a calm, easygoing companion. I’m a very people-friendly girl and truly enjoy spending time with my humans. If you like a dog who is happy just being near you, going for a walk together, or relaxing at home, we will get along wonderfully. I’m also quite a practical girl — I know how to use the doggie door, so I can take care of my business like a proper lady. I enjoy going for regular walks, taking in all the interesting smells and stretching my legs. When it comes to other dogs, I get along with most of them, especially those who appreciate a peaceful companion like me. What I’m really hoping for is a calm, loving home where I can feel safe, loved, and part of the family. A soft place to rest, some nice walks, and kind humans to share life with would make me a very happy girl. If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and relaxed best friend, I think we should meet. Love, Ramona 🐶💛 Please contact Hannah 512-466-4129 f. A $50 donation fee applies for medical and food expenses.

Story
Hello there… Ivy here. 🐾 I’m a beautiful tan Labrador mix lady, about 8 years old, and I’m hoping my new family might be reading this. The first thing you should know about me is that I absolutely love people. Humans are my favorite! I’m the kind of dog who enjoys being near you, whether we’re going for a stroll, relaxing in the yard, or just hanging out together at home. I’m also a very sensible girl — I use the doggie door, so I can pop outside when I need to. No fuss, no drama. Just good manners. I enjoy going for daily walks and getting some fresh air, but I’m not a wild youngster anymore. I’m more of a pleasant walking companion who enjoys life at a comfortable pace. I get along with most other dogs, especially those who appreciate a friendly and easygoing lady like me. What I’m really dreaming of is a loving, calm home where I can be part of the family, share my loyal heart, and enjoy the simple things in life — walks, kind humans, and a cozy place to rest. If you’re looking for a sweet, people-loving companion, I might just be your girl. Hope to meet you soon, Ivy 🐶💛 Please email adoptions@ancasark.com or contact 512-466-4129.
