Story
Adopted him from a shelter in Oklahoma where I used to live. Since moving to the RGV I travel more, work away from home more, and find I am not able to spend as much time with him. He is very loving and gentle. He is 6 going on 7 years old. He has a great tolerance for heat being half chihuahua and very soft, human like hair being half toy poodle. He was trained to not jump on furniture but to jump onto a lap when invited. He stays calm for baths, doesn't eat too much, has no special diet, loves to go on walks but wants to be in front by a couple feet. His bark (rare unless someone is at the door) is the chihuahua bark. He does not have chihuahua nervousness/jitters and is never aggressive. His coat can get a bit long and he is easier to bath with a short coat. His name at adoption was Boomerang because if he ran out he would boomerang right back to you. Renamed Boomer to be shorter and I'm from Oklahoma. He also likes "Buddy" as a pet name.He prefers to sleep in his crate.

Story
🐾 **MEET OTIS – THE GENTLE SOUL WHO NEVER GAVE UP HOPE** 🤍 On June 15th, Otis was abandoned alongside a busy Tx hwy in the brutal summer heat—without food/water. He stayed there, faithfully waiting for someone to come back for him. They never did. Despite everything he's been through, Otis has the gentlest heart I've ever met. When he meets another dog, his 1st instinct is to gently lie down and show that he means no harm. He's wonderful with other dogs, completely respectful around cats. Otis is ~ 2 yrs old and likely a White Shepherd, & now vaccinated. One of his most striking features is his beautiful heterochromia—1 brilliant blue eye and 1 warm brown eye. He's absolutely stunning. But it's his personality that steals your heart 🐾 Rarely barks; sometimes lets out the sweetest howl, as if he's trying to communicate with you. 🐾 Otis survived abandonment, & heartbreak. He should never wonder if someone is returning for him. 🐾 Otis doesn't ask for much. Just kindness. Safety.
