Good with kids, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
People have told me that she looks like a red heeler. Very hyper but very affectionate when she is comfortable with a person. Was abandoned and I had no idea how active a dog she is. I’m a sixty-five year widow and can’t handle her. Basically she needs a job. I love her and want what’s best for her. An active person would be ideal.

Story
We got Kita almost 10 years ago in Corpus Christi and she is about 12 years old. She's great with other dogs and loves to play. Even though she may be considered an older dog, she can definitely hang with younger dogs. She is also a very relaxed dog. Essentially, when its time to play she will play and when its time to relax she will relax. She knows how to sit, shake and back up (with those as the verbal commands). Kita is a great dog. We have had a very busy last few years work/school-wise and unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be changing any time soon. Kita thrives in a place that has access to the outside and we have had very little. It's been sad to see her deprived of it and she deserves more. That is why I am making the decision of rehoming her.

Shiba gets along with other dogs and is very quiet and shy. She has not been socialized with people and is uncomfortable amongst humans. She has never nipped but avoids humans and specifically, human touch. She will need patience and TLC! Do you have the time and love to give to Shiba either as a foster or an adopter??
