Story
*New Intake* Theodore was one for the 4 OKC puppies saved after being dumped at a pet store. He is now with his foster for decompression and assessment. He is 10 months old. He is very shy and nervous and will need a family that understands he is trying his best! Please apply for Theodore! Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new families really understand the needs of a dogo!

Story
Simon is currently a Florida boy living on the outskirts of Tampa after starting his life out in Oklahoma. He is a young 1 year goof who wants to give all kinds of kisses to his people. This dude had no manners whatsover and was basically a gigantic puppy that needed to learn! He still has a lot of learning to do but we can say that he loves to train now! At first it was a rocky road trying to teach him basic manners and that people are not ladders to climb! After learning some methods from a professional trainer we are proud to say that he is making good progress! Simon was good with his littermates when we took them all in and he has been good around other friendly dogs where he is now. We wish he could run and play but unfortunately he has a torn ACL and is preparing to have TPLO surgery. This came as a surprise to us and his $4,000 estimate did too but he is worth every penny! We expect him to make a full recovery and live a normal dogo life once this is all behind him. We are taking adoption applications for him now and expect that he would be healed and ready for a new home around mid September 2023. The best home for Simon would be one that is eager to continue training with him and taking him out to socialize. He is young enough to overcome his crappy start to life and with his happy-go-lucky attitude we know he will make a great new companion! He really if fun to train and hotdogs seem to have magical powers when it comes to his learning. Simon was one for the 4 OKC puppies saved after being dumped at a pet store. A kind man who didn't have a home of his own helped care for the dogs best he could on a piece of property until we were able to help. They were covered in ticks and our fosters helped get them cleaned up to start their new rescue lives. Currently the boys are all in Florida and Brittany is in Louisiana and you can check their profiles to see if they are still available to adopt too! Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires you set! Story
Marvin is absolutely amazing!! He is currently living in Tampa at the farm kennels and just the happiest dude on the planet. He loves the excitement but he also loves to chill and get lovins'. He seems to have a solid temperament and doesn't like to cause any trouble like some boy dogos tend to do! When challenged by the other blockheads through the kennels he laughs and runs off to do something else. This boy is a dream and quite possibly a unicorn dogo. We will keep you posted on how his dog intros go! Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. Story
Belle is a sweet and happy girl. This dog is a gem. She wags her tail so hard around and around when you talk to her. She loves her toys and loves to give you licks. She knows commands and is house trained. She is good with larger dogs and can intimidate smaller ones. She is extremely obedient. She loves to swim in the water. She would do well in a family environment but maybe not with little kids. She doesn't know her own strength. Belle has a sweet and fun personality and would make a great watchdog. DOGO's are very loyal and protective of their family. Belle is very social and non threatening unless challenged. Come meet this girl. She is so soft and loving.

I am a shy, nervous girl in need of a soft landing. I will be most successful in an adult home that will embrace my homebody nature, and I would realy appreciate being the only pet in the home, as I can be pretty choosy with my animal friends- what can I say? I have high standards!

I`m a big handsome hunk with the cutest little heart shaped marking on my nose! While I do not have my listening ears on and do appear to be hearing impaired, I am still very adaptable and am a fast, attentive learner! I may be most successful in an adult home where I am your only pet, as I can be picky with my puppy friends and I really do not appreciate being bothered when I sleep. (That`s my me time!) Ask to see me today!

Hey there I'm Carter! I was found on the side of the road with my two other siblings with no mom in sight. I was covered in fleas and had worms but I'm all better now! I love to play with my doggy friends and I love kids, too! I haven't met cats yet but I'm sure I would love them too because I love making friends :)  ##2009269##

Story
MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsEthan &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143. The first thing that drew us to Ethan was the dramatic and horrific injury he sustained from a deeply embedded collar. We knew he needed help. The recovery he has made on that front in such a short time is truly remarkable! (Before pics, update pics, and current pics included in this post!) Like most dogs who suffer tragic injuries, though, Ethan is soooooo much more than that part of his story. The moment you meet him, his charisma bowls you over. His bright, sparkling eyes and goofy smile are as endearing as can be. Throw in the underbite that causes his jowls to hang on his teeth and… well… goooood luck not having to grab him and smooch his face! It’s impossible not to! Ethan will be neutered soon and on the hunt for his forever family. We are currently processing applications for him! (If in the Tampa area, we can do a foster to adopt and allow him to join your family right away!) He will need a fenced yard to run and cut up in. He would prefer a friendly dog or pack to join so he can wrestle and run and play with them but we will also consider an active family committed to exercise and socialization who doesn’t have a dog already. Ethan loves children and people of all shapes and sizes. People = pets, treats, all the “good boys”, so he’s a big fan! In addition to them going to heaven, he believes all dogs were put on earth to play and rough house so a home with crotchety older guys won’t work. Ethan needs younger dogs who want to be a mentor and demonstrate good behaviors he can emulate but who can keep up with him as he attempts to break the speed record for yard courses and zoomies. He also has some boxer in him maybe so he’s handsy and bumps with his chest when he plays. We cannot say enough about this guy! He’s delightful and will bring the fun and the love to any home he joins! Apps for our resilient dude @maxxandme.org Ethan’s adoption fee is $350May 1, 2024, 10:17 am

Story
How is this adorable and affectionate pup still searching for his forever family?? George is a sweet 10-11 month old boy who loves to give kisses and to play play play!  He is smart and food motivated and is very trainable.  His ideal home with have another doggie friend and a fenced yard so he can enjoy playing at home when he isn't taking field trips to local parks or fun spots around town. He is a great companion whether at home or enjoying a Sunday funday out on the town! He is dog, cat, and kid approved. He loves cats and while it isn't always reciprocated, he is learning his manners more with them every day and has been great-just gets a little excited!  George can't wait to meet his forever family! He knows he will be the pawfect addition to his forever family. Is it you? ##1629449##
