Story
*New Intake* Theodore was one for the 4 OKC puppies saved after being dumped at a pet store. He is now with his foster for decompression and assessment. He is 10 months old. He is very shy and nervous and will need a family that understands he is trying his best! Please apply for Theodore! Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. They require a lot of attention and training with them never ends! Boundaries must be enforced and they often need reminders as they push past boundaires you set! Dogos are loving, kind and gentle but don't mistake that for weakness because they are equally powerful and intense as well! Everyone in the home must be on board with having a dogo and play a major role in their daily routines and training. Yes it is work, but the rewards are ten-fold! Lazy homes don't work for dogos as they need stimulation, exercise, and lots of attention too during their younger years. Our goal in rescue is to be as transparent as we can about each and every dog plus make sure new families really understand the needs of a dogo!

Story
Marvin is absolutely amazing!! He is currently living in Tampa at the farm kennels and just the happiest dude on the planet. He loves the excitement but he also loves to chill and get lovins'. He seems to have a solid temperament and doesn't like to cause any trouble like some boy dogos tend to do! When challenged by the other blockheads through the kennels he laughs and runs off to do something else. This boy is a dream and quite possibly a unicorn dogo. We will keep you posted on how his dog intros go! Dogos are a wonderful breed but we urge anyone interested to dig in and do a lot of research before deciding if they are a good fit for your home. Story
Brooke is an incredible girl!  She is currently in Tampa where it took here well over a week to come out of her shell and decompress.  When she came to us she was so terrified that it took 3 days to coax her out of her kennel! We had to put a grass pad in there for her so she felt safe to do her business. All we knew about her is that she was found off a rural road in south Miami where we get so many of our females in rescue. We don't know what she's gone through but she probably has a story to tell for sure.  There are scars on her from some sort of trauma or accident but this girl is relentless!  She has proven to put the past behind her and we couldn't be more proud of Brooke! This girl really loves hanging out with her crush, Marvin.  They run around the yard and enjoy each other's company so she would do great in a home with another friendly male dog.  Female dogs...not so much!  Maybe it's because she doesn't want to share her man but whatever it is, Brooke doesn't seem to like the females.  She is a BOSS B! Her energy is fabulous and we all love her vibrant personality.  Brooke is a KISSER and she loves so hard so watch out! She wants to love and can't control her emotions to let you know this. She is going to make such a great addition to the family that gets her and they will just fall in love with this dog from day one.  Brooke weighs about 92 pounds and loves to eat and get treats.  We don't know how she is with cats and have no way to test that but our guess is, a cat in the home would not be ideal. She hasn't been around kids yet either but since she loves so hard, no young children for sure. We don't know if she is housebroken but she does keep her kennel space clean and loves a soft bed and blankies. We can't wait to find Brooke a furever home, she is ready!

Story
Belle is a sweet and happy girl. This dog is a gem. She wags her tail so hard around and around when you talk to her. She loves her toys and loves to give you licks. She knows commands and is house trained. She is good with larger dogs and can intimidate smaller ones. She is extremely obedient. She loves to swim in the water. She would do well in a family environment but maybe not with little kids. She doesn't know her own strength. Belle has a sweet and fun personality and would make a great watchdog. DOGO's are very loyal and protective of their family. Belle is very social and non threatening unless challenged. Come meet this girl. She is so soft and loving.

Story
MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsJasper The lone boy pup of our #Eskimoexplorers gang, Jasper is a real-life emoji. His expressions are unmistakable In real life, Jasper is not only expressive, he’s joyous and entertaining - totally full of life. Jasper is living with several very big dogs. He has one very favorite of them - his foster brother Roman - and he is never far from his side. In his forever home, Jasper will need a new big buddy to bond with for sure! Jasper is doing awesome learning how to DOG by paling around with his foster siblings. He knows to sit and wait politely for treats, he loves to be included in all the things the others do. His favorite activities are chewing bones and s climbing Roman and his favorite spot to nap is a basket of warm laundry, or quite literally on top of Roman. Basically wherever Roman is - that’s Jasper’s place to be also! Being a young puppy, it’s imperative Jasper have someone around often to let him outside for potty time. He definitely wants a fenced yard to enjoy in his forever home - leash waking is not high on his favorites list. If you’re looking for a puppy to enhance your life and bring the youthful energy into your home, Jasper has you covered! It’s also very important your resident pup be willing and able to take on the role of big brother/sister for Jasper - he’s not taking no for an answer on that! Apps for this silly sidekick @ maxxandme.org Jasper’s adoption fee is $400July 26, 2024, 11:37 am
