Story
Meet Bruno – A Gentle Soul Looking for Love Bruno’s story is one of hope, resilience, and devotion. He was rescued just hours before he and his beloved companion, Coco, were set to be euthanized at a rural shelter in San Antonio, Texas. At first, it seemed like the end of the road, both dogs appeared fragile, defeated and it was assumed they might only have a short time left. But with the love and care of their foster mom, Bruno and Coco began to thrive. For a year and a half, they enjoyed a happy, full life together, filled with cuddles, walks, and the joy of finally being safe and loved. Sadly, Coco’s health began to decline, and she has since passed, leaving Bruno to grieve the loss of his lifelong best friend. Now, Bruno is ready for the next chapter, a loving home where he can spend his golden years in peace and comfort. He’s a gentle, easygoing boy who doesn’t ask for much: just a soft couch, someone to love him, and the quiet companionship of a devoted human. Bruno may be a senior, but his heart is full of love and loyalty, and he’s ready to share it with someone special. Apply to aopt: dcdogos.org/adopt Location: Big Sandy, TX

Story
Hi, my name is Rose, and I am a bright and affectionate Dogo Argentino Mix! I am about 3 years old and weigh 99 Lbs. As you can see from my photos, I am a big playful and energetic girl who needs lots of exercise. I was bred for speed, and my love of activity and exercise are my most admirable qualities. A good Samaritan found me living alone on the streets, nonetheless I am both kennel and house trained as well as obeying various training commands. I occasionally look a bit serious at first, but it is just because I am alert and planning my next great adventure! From time to time my instinct might take over if I see a squirrel I would love to chase up a tree! I love to stay active and would flourish with an owner who has no cats and loves the great outdoors.

Story
Meet Miyuki, a delightful pure white Pit Bull/Dogo mix who is ready to steal your heart! This sweet girl has recently been spayed. It looks like she may have been used for breeding in her past, which is why her teats did hang a little low. We think she’s around 2 years old and is in great health, and she’s heartworm negative! Miyuki is full of playful energy and has that lovable, excitable pit bull personality we all adore. She knows how to sit and will give you an over-the-top double high five when asked—trust us, it’s super cute! She's get the zoomies quite often and even occasionally chases her tail! She's definitely high energy, so playtime is a must! However, she does love to sunbathe and if not much is going on then she's zonk out, relaxing wherever she fits (usually somewhere on the floor). When it comes to cats, Miyuki shows curiosity. Just to be safe, we think a home without cats would be the best fit for her. We also think that until she goes through proper training, we would say that she needs to be an only dog since she does tend to become a little possessive of her space. Probably from being on the street and in competition with other street dogs. While she hasn't interacted with kids since arriving with us, she has never shown any aggression towards the humans in the house and she's been nothing but gentle. Miyuki just wants to share her love, get some attention, have little chats, and enjoy playtime! We’re also thrilled to share that, despite her beautiful pure white coat, she is not deaf—something we were a bit anxious about at first! If you’re looking to give this sweet girl a loving forever home, we’d love for you to fill out the form below. Thank you so much! https://form.jotform.com/241765023842152 Please share far and wide to help us find her that perfect home where she will be truly cherished as she deserves! ❤ As part of our adoption process, we are committed to ensuring that this is the perfect match for both you and the animal. Finding your forever best friend is our priority, and we appreciate your trust in us to facilitate this important decision. When introducing other animals in your home, we strongly recommend a thoughtful and gradual approach with all of our rescues. Keep in mind that not all dogs will get along. They have their own preferences, just like people do. The same goes for interactions with children; it's crucial to prevent overwhelming the adopted animal during the first meetings. Take the time you need to assess how they interact. Please be aware that all adoption fees are classified as donations to support our mission and organization. If the dog is returned for any reason, the donation will not be refunded, as we will incur costs for their transportation back to us. Thank you for your understanding and for making a difference in the life of a rescue animal!
