Story
This handsome boy was dumped with his girlfriend Bonnie at a strip mall in Texas several months ago. Thankfully, some Good Samaritans picked them up to keep them safe. Neither were chipped but obviously came from a home as they are sweet and friendly with people. Bonnie has found a family of her own and now Clyde is looking for his! Clyde is about 2-3 years old, neutered and up to date on shots. He’s very friendly, a little rambunctious and likes to zoom zoom. He will require an active home that will create boundaries. He does very well with female dogs after a slow intro and would do best with older kids, as he forgets his size sometimes. 💨 Are you looking for a big friendly guy to run, hang out and cuddle with? Clyde is your guy!! Located in Texas, will consider transport

Story
Bruno was rescued with his other half Coco hours before they were set to be euthanized at a rural shelter in San Antonio Texas. It was assumed it would be a hospice case as both dogs seemed to decline quickly, especailly Coco. After days and nights of nursing both back to health, their amazing foster finally brought these two amazing Dogos back to health. They love playing around in the yard, going for walks and taking naps in the sun. They are tightly bonded and will only be adopted together.  They do well with people and other dogs, with slow intros. They need a family to love them through their golden years! Are you willing to give this wonderful pair a relaxing and loving home?

Story
Coco was rescued with her other half Bruno hours before they were set to be euthanized. Initially, we thought the pair would be a hospice case as Coco wouldn't eat and was declining quickly. Their amazing foster never left her side and nursed her back to health slowly but surely. Bruno never left Coco's side. After weeks of slow progress, Coco bounced back and is now a sweet loving girl. She loves walks and couch naps and most of all, loves being with Bruno. These two are a bonded pair and will only be adopted together. They need a loving home that will care for them for their golden years. We love our seniors and want to find a home that will appreciate and love them! They love people, have not been introduced to kids yet. They do well with other dogs with slow intros. They are calm and love naps! Located in Texas but will tranpsort for the right home

Story
Our sweetest Mama Demi is ready for her forever home! She was rescued on her euthanasia date, just hours before her time was up, from Riverside shelter. She was brought in as a stray to the shelter still lactating, skinny, dirty and estimated to be a senior mama. Although we don't know what her life was like before DC Dogos, we are so thankful we get to help write her future!  Demi is currently being fostered in El Paso Texas. She is around other Dogos and does tend to be selective, so slow intros to other male dogs are a must. She is great with children and all people. She does still get the zoomies even though it is assumed she is around 7 years old. She is up to date on vaccines and spayed and ready to go to her new home!  We do think that Demi is deaf (or close to it). This should be a consideration for her new home but is definitely something that can be worked with! Demi really just wants a soft bed to sleep on and humans to call her own! She is availabe for adoption and can be transported! Please open your home to this sweet senior. Sometimes our seniors get forgotten when there are puppies available but you will not regret sharing this sweet mama's golden years!

Story
LOVES BELLY RUBS AND GIVES KISSESEst. DOB 10/8/18, Weight ~ 65 lbs I’m Buster, a sweet, happy, eager-to-please, playful Boxer/ Black Mouth Cur mix fella who loves “marathon” belly rubs and snuggling for hours with my human dad on the sofa or the bed. When he sits on the floor with me, I love to lie across his lap and give kisses. I’m very loyal and doting with my human dad, with whom I’ve bonded tremendously, and I follow him everywhere. I’m respectful and trustworthy with children outside the coffee shop and on walks. A bonus is that I have a very soft mouth when I take treats and toys. Speaking of walks, I love them! But, True Confessions – I’m working on my leash manners so I don’t get overly stimulated by cats, squirrels, or certain other dogs. I really enjoy the company of most other dogs, whether playing or lounging around together.  Moderate exercise not only stimulates me physically but mentally too. I’ve been through obedience training and I “sit,” “down,” and “place” on command (for the most part). The trainer says that I’m a quick learner because of my treat-motivation. I’ve had a rotating cast of dog walkers, and they all applaud how people-friendly I am. With proper introductions, I meet new people and strangers easily – with the exception of people who ring that annoying doorbell. I’ve come a long way from when I was rescued at BARC, Houston’s City shelter. You know, there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me who’s past the stage of puppy-craziness. I’m crate-trained and know how to use the doggy door. I’m not a digger and I don’t destroy anything that isn’t a toy -- other than a couple of pillows. I’ve been a loving adopted canine brother for many months but now my canine brother's anxiety has gotten worse, to the point where it is hard for us to be together therefore it’s better that I find a new home since he was here first.  So, I’m available for adoption again! If you’re looking for a big, gentle boy who’s a bundle of love, I fit the bill!! And I’m flexible – I can live in an apartment as long as I get adequate exercise or a home with a backyard for chasing the tennis ball.  I’d love to be the star of the show and get all of your love, i.e., not have to share you with another dog in the home, but I’d still like going to Day Care, the dog park, and play dates with my canine friends. Arrange to meet me, and remember, I’ve never met a stranger! Story
Adorable puppy Jason was found cowering in the bushes in heavy thunderstorm, when a patron of our rescue who was walking her senior yorkie, spotted him. Jason is now 14 weeks old, and very calm puppy, who just wants to please his human. He loves to be around his humans and wants nothing but affection. He is a very loving and velcro pup, good with dogs, cats, kids, people. Jason is 15 lb and growing. He is current on his shots, will be neutered in a couple weeks, and microchipped. He is crate trained although he is not a fan of the crate, he is puppy pad trained, and is learning to be housebroken, and he is kept on heartworm and flea preventative as well as deworming schedule. He is very easy to train, as he is extremely intelligent and loves to hear "good boy". In the right home, he will turn into a lovely adult pup. He lives with kids and brightens up when he sees his 10 year old human foster brother. Sweet Jason is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, microchip, shots, deworming, heartworm and flea preventatives, and transport fee. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
