Darla is a 1-year-old Dogo mix with the soul of a comedian and the heart of a survivor. Rescued from a Fort Worth shelter on the very day she was scheduled for euthanasia, this girl has already stared death in the face *multiple* times and strutted right past it with a stick in her mouth and a sparkle in her eye.
Shortly after rescue, Darla got seriously ill with a 107° fever that nearly took her down — but not this tough cookie! With a whole lot of love (and emergency vet care), she made a full recovery and is now *thriving* in her foster home. Ranch life suits her just fine, and she’s finally getting to do what she was always meant to do: be a happy, silly, slightly dramatic puppy.
Darla is a *people-loving, treat-motivated, stick-obsessed* goofball who will smother you in hugs and kisses if you let her. Her most prized possessions? STICKS.
