While Peppermint is just starting her journey, Spearmint has the calm, soulful presence of a dog who has clearly loved and been loved before. Spearmint is gentle, dog friendly, and deeply people oriented. She listens well, is eager to please, and seems to take comfort in staying close to those she trusts. Her favorite thing in the world is simply being near her people and soaking up affection. If snuggling were an Olympic sport, Spearmint would take the gold. The shelter environment has been especially hard on her. She dislikes the noise and chaos and does her best to shut down and cope, but once she is outside of the kennel, her soft, affectionate personality shines through. In quiet spaces, she relaxes quickly and shows just how easy and loving she truly is. Spearmint would thrive in a calm, stable home with a family who values companionship and routine.
