Meet Nyx! Hello, I'm Nyx, a 1-year-old kitty looking for my forever home in the East Bay area! Weighing in at a petite 6 lbs, I came to my friends here from Contra Costa Animal Services with a wound on my back leg. But don't worry—I'm all healed up and ready for my next adventure! With my shaved back leg, you might mistake me for a little poodle, but I'm all cat! The vet had to give me a special haircut to work their magic. Now that my staples are coming out this week, I’m on the lookout for a cozy lap to call my own. I’ll greet you with friendliness when we first meet, but it might take me a few days to fully settle in and trust my new surroundings. Petting me helps a lot! I love chin scratches, and if I roll onto my back, that's your cue for some belly rubs. Afterward, I'll happily curl up in your lap for a nap—my favorite part of the day.
