Story
Hello, My name is Fluffy. Apologies, if I appear a little rough around the edges. You see, this life has been unkind to me. All I’ve ever known is how to survive. I have spent most of my kitten-hood scrounging for food and trying to keep safe from the elements. Moving from bush to bush, to living under houses, I simply hoped that I would make it to the next day. And, as is common with life on the streets, I found myself pregnant at a very young age. Malnourished and on my last ounce of life, I put everything into trying to raise and protect my little ones. But by some miracle, we were picked up and brought inside. The last few weeks at my foster home have been eye opening. I was introduced to toys. I like toys. They are quite fun and make me feel happy and excited. I also don’t have to beg or fight for food and water. It’s weird having a full belly every night. And the beds are warm and cozy. I often wonder why I wasn’t born an inside cat. Why was I thrown to the side and ignored? I know I can be scraggly and unkept, but I am kind and patient. They say that I am inherently bad luck and that I should be tossed back outside. But I do not want to go back outside. I want to stay where it is warm and safe. I want a home to call my own. I want to play and purr. Roll on my back with my belly up. I want to love and be loved. I know I am a good cat. But they say it will be hard for me. I am not a cute kitten anymore. I am past my prime and will have to wait to be passed up until I am forgotten again. But do I not deserve a chance too?  Will you give me that chance? Will you be my forever home?   MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Go to  https://www.kittenrescue101.org/adopt/available-cats and Click "adopt" on the cat's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process.  2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days with an appointment time slot. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament. We cannot call back every applicant with an update. You will receive a call if your application is selected. Thank you for your understanding.  ##2524590##

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Meet Leilani, the sweetest 1 year old feline enchantress. This beautiful and friendly kitty was abandoned along with her two kittens at our Safehouse. She has become a beacon of hope for the lost and forgotten. She found solace with us, where her independent and loyal nature shines through. Now, she's ready for a new mission: to bring joy and companionship to a loving home.  She's no stranger to change, having weathered life's ups and downs with grace and resilience. Despite her past, Leilani's spirit remains unbroken. Her amazing foster home has helped her have faith in humans again. Her affectionate nature and warm purrs are sure to fill your home with joy. She did test positive for FIV which means her immune system is not as strong as other kitties and she could be more susceptible to certain health issues as she ages. However, kitties with this status live a normal lifespan and she is sure to be a steadfast friend for life. Apply to adopt Leilani and let her sprinkle a bit of her magic into your life! She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.December 17, 2025, 9:04 pm

She's a sweet soul, always ready to share a tender moment with those she trusts. Romi is also fiercely independent, showing a smartness that shines through in her problem-solving abilities. She can be a bit shy at first, but this only adds to her charm. Once she warms up to you, her loyalty is unwavering. Although Romi had never visited Egypt, she practices the ancient art of being adored by humans. Her body is more than a temple; it’s a museum artifact that you can look at but not touch unless given permission. As with most museums, hushed tones and slow movements are much appreciated. To summon this fluffy antiquity from her hiding spaces, only sacrifices of the finest treats and feather toys are deemed acceptable. Romi’s curator must be dedicated to her maintenance and enjoy having just her to care for. She would love to be the queen of your heart. She is looking for a forever home where she can share her sweetness and playfulness. She's ready to be a loyal companion, a playful friend, and a source of joy. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150. Adopt Romi and experience the unique bond of love and loyalty that she will offer!August 27, 2025, 11:57 pm
