Story
Hi! I'm Lucy! I was rescued in Lockeford, CA. I’m a friendly, curious and playful kitty. I love human interaction, especially when it involves pets. I'll let you carry me around while I hold onto your shoulder and I’ll even cuddle up with human visitors when I first meet them in hopes of receiving some nice pets.  I think humans are so fascinating and when you talk to me I’ll make eye contact and listen to everything you have to say. You’ll have my undivided attention. While hanging out with my humans and receiving pets is my favorite thing to do, I’m interested in other things too. I’m very curious and love to explore my surroundings, especially when it involves climbing. And playing is lots of fun too! Feather wand toys and soft plushy toys are my favorites. I've been told I can be a "picky eater" but really, who doesn’t have food preferences? I like food, just not all food. Oh, and I prefer to be your one and only kitty because I’m not too fond of other cats. Are you looking for a sweet kitty who adores humans? Then you should apply for me! Not good with cats, Declawed,
Story
Hi! My name is Layla! I was rescued at the Hesperia, CA shelter. I didn't stand much of a chance at the Hesperia shelter. I really thought it would be the last place I would ever see but then one day everything changed and now I’m out of the shelter and in a foster home! I’m a very calm, well-mannered, and affectionate polydactyl kitty. My favorite hobbies are chilling with my human and napping, and my ultimate favorite is napping with my human. I had a pretty hard previous life and really all I want to do is relax and soak in the calmness of my new life. I really enjoy receiving pets, especially on my chin and ears and I even enjoy gentle butt pats and wiggles. I’ll occasionally chit chat or make adorable sounds to reply to you or express myself. My foster human has a cat bed for me but I’m not that into it, I prefer relaxing on rugs and on the bed. I love sleeping on the bed at night and sometimes I’ll give my foster human a couple gentle pats with my paw in the morning to see if she’s ready to get up. She thinks it’s sweet and tells me I’m the cutest. I shouldn’t say relaxing is ALL I want to do. I do like to play and to eat but these things aren’t my top priorities. Playtime for me might last 5-10 minutes and then I’m ready to relax again, probably for the rest of the day… hee hee. And I’m not food motivated so you won’t find me sitting by my food bowl begging for meals. I’ll let you know when I’m hungry with a cute meow and will lead you to the kitchen. I’m not the best eater so my foster human is making sure I’m eating well and helping me get into a more regular meal routine. I’m slowly getting the hang of it but will need a little more help from my new family. When I first arrived, Give Me Shelter noticed I was scratching my ears a lot so they took me to the vet. The doctors discovered I had a yeast infection so my foster human treated my ears with prescription drops which I didn’t mind at all. I recently went back for a checkup and the infection has been resolved! I also recently had a dental thanks to Melinda, the generous human who sponsored it, and the doctors found I had resorptive lesions. They decided not to pull one of my teeth but I guess that one tooth really wanted to come out because it fell out on its own! It was purrfect timing because it happened on the same day I went for my follow-up visit for my ears. The vet said the root should reabsorb, it won’t cause me any discomfort, and no treatment is needed. Yay! Oh, and sadly my previous family declawed my front paws. Unfortunately I didn't have a say when they did but I was sad about it but I won't let that dampen my spirits and my love for humans. I’m looking for a calm forever home without other kitties where I can relax with my family and receive lots of love. I feel like the luckiest kitty in the world after being rescued from the shelter and I know I’m going to feel even luckier when I meet my new family! You can see more of me here @catsgangonair. Please note: Layla has been declawed.Layla is polydactyl.Layla would do best as an only childIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1702144956&src=aap]

Story
Midnight is a very loving young female cat, she is very sociable and very quick to fall in love. She has a lot of energy and when you walk in the door she is very quick to run to your feet. She is also a very curious cat. She likes to be pet and groomed. If you scratch the right spot, she plops over and lets you pet her belly. Her favorite spot to relax is on her favorite human. She is good with most family scenarios including families with children. She is a very easy cat for all first-time cat families. Midnight must be adopted with her sister Silver.
