Story
Daffy — The Gentle Giant with the Biggest Heart Hello there! I'm Daffy, a big, fluffy Maine Coon mix with an even bigger heart. I was a beloved family cat for many years, but when my person moved into assisted living, she wasn't able to bring me along. A devoted family member wanted to make sure I would always be safe, so they found me a safe haven with Give Me Shelter while I wait for my next forever family. If you're looking for an affectionate cat, I may be your perfect match. I absolutely adore people. My favorite thing in the world is being petted, and I'm not shy about asking for attention. I'll headbutt your hand, your toes, or even your forehead if that's what it takes to remind you that I deserve more pets. When I see you, I'll often greet you with my signature move—a dramatic flop onto the floor, followed by loud purrs and rolling around until I've received the proper amount of affection. Once you sit down, I'll come running. I love curling up in laps, making biscuits, and turning humans into my personal furniture. If you're lucky, you might even catch me making biscuits in the air while I relax. I'm also a curious fellow. I enjoy watching the world from the window, listening to birds and neighborhood sounds, and investigating cozy hiding spots. Laundry hampers, blankets, and small dark nooks are some of my favorite places to relax. I'm also very interested in unattended cups of water, so you'll quickly learn not to leave your drink where I can reach it! Like many cats, I can be a little cautious when exploring a new home at first. I may take a few days to fully venture out and investigate my surroundings, but I'm never shy about meeting people. Once I know where the people are, that's exactly where I want to be. I do have a couple of special needs. First, I'm currently on a weight-loss journey. The vet would like me to lose about six pounds, and I'm already making great progress. My future family will need to help me continue my healthy lifestyle so I can feel my very best. Second, all this luxurious fluff requires some grooming. I enjoy looking handsome, but brushing isn't exactly my favorite activity. A patient adopter who can work with me a little at a time will help keep my coat looking its best. I may occasionally let you know when I've had enough, so understanding cat body language is a plus! I've lived with another cat before and did just fine, but these days I'm quite happy being king of my castle. If you're looking for a cat who will happily soak up all your love and attention, I'm more than up for the job. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who will fill your home with purrs, headbutts, biscuits, dramatic flops, and plenty of love, I might just be your guy. Love, Daffy Please note: Indoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1784703628&src=aap]

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I'm a very sweet, gorgeous girl. I love being pet, especially on the forehead and cheeks! I'm very affectionate, always looking for another new friend who will give me their attention. I'm not one for serious playtime sessions- my favorite things to do in my foster home are napping and sitting beside people. I can be a little shy around new people, but with a little bit of time and a lot of love, I'll be curled up in your lap in no time! Great addition to any quiet home. Story
I'm a handsome tabby looking for a low-key forever home. I can be a little shy at first, but after a little bit of time, I warm right up. I love to be pet and brushed, and I'll curl up right next to you on the couch so we can watch movies together. Don't let my age fool you- I still get bursts of playful energy, chasing after my favorite spring toys! When I get them stuck under the fridge, I'll meow at my human friend until she retrieves them for me. When there's no people to hang out with, I'll spend my time sleeping in sunbeams, warming my fluffy belly. If you're looking for a chill, sweet kitty companion, I'm your guy. Great addition to any quiet home! Primary Color: Brown Tabby Age: 7yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Floofy, adorable Cholula began life as a garden cat and recently decided she was ready to embrace the great indoors. With her white bib, whiskers, socks and genuinely impressive fluff, Cholula is a vision of cuteness. A super affectionate purr machine, Cholula loves head and chin scratches. She is learning about cat toys and loves the feather wand toy, the cat dancer and her cardboard scratcher. True to her name, Cholula has a touch of spice and is learning how to express her excitement without her teeth. For that reason she should be in a household with older children and adults. Cholula is a queen bee and wants to be the only cat. Cholula is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV/FELV. Her estimated date of birth is 4/11/2022.

Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a calm home with school-aged or older kids  Bonded pair with Denver Prefers to be in a home without dogs Needs to be indoor only Takes daily medication Meet Cordelia– a happy 6 year old girl searching for her adopters with her best friend, Denver. The two make the sweetest pair, spending their days cuddling, grooming, and nuzzling each other. She especially loves helping Denver stay on top of keeping his long coat soft & shiny to match hers! Cordelia has a chronic eye condition, as well as an autoimmune condition, and she currently takes daily eye drops and oral medication to stay happy and healthy. She'll likely need these medications for life– we can help train you if you haven't medicated a cat before! Cordelia has a history of litter box avoidance which worsens with stress and changes to her litter boxes, so she is looking for an adopter who can partner with their veterinarian to manage her ongoing care. She'll need an optimized litter box setup, with the understanding that her specific needs may change over time. Cordelia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our  Adoption Inquiry form  !
