Story
Hi! We're Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn but you can call us Kurt and Goldie! We were rescued from a hoarding situation in Contra Costa County. How cute are we?! Well according to our foster human and the other humans who have met us, we’re the cutest cuties. But wait, there’s more… we have winning purrsonalities too! We’re confident, curious, gentle, affectionate and playful. We immediately explored our foster home side by side when we first arrived. We had lots of new things to check out and we were ready and willing to get started. While exploring we came across toys and knew we were going to have lots of fun here. We enjoy playing with toys but we also love to chase each other and wrestle. We still have kitten energy so sometimes we can be extra lively and energetic when we wrestle and play tag which always makes humans laugh, and sometimes worry we’ll spill the water in our bowl... hehe. Yes we love each other but we also love humans and receiving attention from them. We aren’t shy about asking for attention. Pets? Kisses? Cuddles? We’re ready for them and will purr to let you know how much we love them. We'll even be on the bed with you at night so we can be near you even though we're all sleeping. I have long fur and really need our forever family to brush it for me. Goldie grooms me and while I do appreciate her trying to help keep my fur looking good, she just can't do as good of a job as a brush can do. Oh, and please don't tell her I told you this. I don't want to hurt her feelings. We have big hearts with lots of love to give to our forever family, and plenty of energy to share with them too! Please note: Kurt Russell should be adopted with his best friendIndoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1713920534&src=aap]

Story
Kaiju (baby) and Manju (mom) are a sweet cat family available for adoption in the Bay Area. They're both healthy, and love snuggling and playing. Their cat dad left them and unfortunately I'm having health issues and can't take care of them long-term. I'm hoping to find them a loving home where they can stay together - they've never spent a day apart. If you'd like to come meet them in SF, please feel free to reach out! ↓ meet Kaiju (translation: Monster) Loves: to play, explore balconies, eat treats/catnip/tuna water/wet food, snuggle in laps, do yoga with you and eat meals at the same time. Grew up with a dog as a baby, so thinks he's a puppy sometimes - he even comes running when you call him. Also, sometimes when he meows, it sounds like "Hellow!" Mixed bean toes. Approx. 8 yrs (but still thinks he’s a baby) Adopt Kaiju & Manju today if you like loving snuggles!

Story
Unfortunately, our baby is highly allergic to Gray Grey, our wonderful, loving, 15 year old cat. We adopted him in Philadelphia in 2009, when he was just a kitten. He moved to San Francisco with us in 2011. Gray Grey had a cat brother, who passed in 2019. Gray Grey has lived with our (hypoallergenic) dog since 2016. Gray Grey loves snuggles and pets. He's an indoor cat who is still quite active and enjoys watching the birds out of our window. We love him so much and don't want to say goodbye, but our son breaks out in terrible hives every time he's around Gray Grey. We just received lab results that confirm his severe cat allergy. We would love to see Gray Grey with any family that loves cats and wants a super snuggly older cat to love.

Story
Luna is a gorgeous, sweet, and affectionate girl. She walks right up to strangers with confidence and starts a conversation immediately. She considers everyone her friend and feels right at home on your lap or rubbing up against your leg. She's a purr machine and loves to be pet and scratched. Luna's a petite girl, about 9 lbs. Loves to eat but doesn’t overdo it. Now treats are a different story! She will gorge herself on those if not stopped. Luna grew up around many cats but prefers the company of her humans. She can be territorial and doesn't get along with the foster home’s resident cats. She has not been around dogs. Luna is comfortable with people of any age. She loves the teenage daughter in her foster home and has been around younger children that are gentle and respectful. Luna is independent and can be alone for several hours, but she would love to have her human with her. She's not clingy but definitely loves a lap (or laptop) to lay on and make biscuits.  Luna is healthy but FIV+ which is a condition that weakens her immune system. Cats with FIV typically live relatively normal, full lives with regular vet checks and care. Luna girl is not super active and is selective about toys she plays with. But once or twice a day, she gets the zoomies and is so funny to watch. This little girl is one of the best cats you’ll ever meet. Everyone she meets falls in love with her. She’s one of a kind. We estimate Luna's birth date to be around January 2022. Kitty Bio #1111SC-Lu. If you're interested in adopting this or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/. April 23, 2024, 10:37 am

Story
MODESTO, CA:  Hi, my name is Freddie!! I’m a happy kitty with a seriously playful attitude!  I was abandoned at a shelter when I was only two weeks old; I’m so grateful that I was rescued and placed into a loving foster home. I am very easy-going, gentle, sweet, and full of affection. While I love to play, my very favorite thing to do is to cuddle up in my foster mom’s lap and “nurse” on a plush blanket. This is oh-so-comforting and soothing to me, kind of like a spa day (haha).  I also love to be gently carried around and enjoy getting pets. I was born in approximately August 2022. I am good with other cats and children but have not been around any dogs. I have never lived outdoors, so I need to be an indoors-only kitty. I’ve been neutered, microchipped, and am up to date on my shots. I’m ready to go to my furever family! This is a Courtesy Post, and Freddie is with the Cat Network of Stanislaus in Modesto, California. For more information, please contact Monica at info@catnetworkofstanislaus.org or 209-735-0604. Story
Zooey here. I recently lost my best friend. We met in 2007 at an adoption event; she (correctly) identified me as the kitten with the most personality, and brought me home with her. It was a match made in Kitty Heaven. I got along fine with her husband and adult children, but we were really meant for each other. We did our own thing during the day - she liked to work in the garden, I liked to nap in the sun - but most evenings I sat in her lap while she pet and combed me. I slept on her bed every night, until she got sick last year. Her kids are caring for me but they all live far away, so I need to find a new home. I’m elderly now - 17! - but am still pretty healthy. I’m not a picky eater, just need some powder and a pill in my food every day. In the interest of transparency, I should mention that I sometimes poop outside of the litter box, especially when stressed out. I’m working on it. I think of myself as a good companion who is also independent. (I mean, I AM a cat.)

Story
Eve is a lovely 1 1/2 year old long haired black beauty, in need of a new home through no fault of her own. Left behind when her owner moved, she wandered into a neighbor’s house and gave birth to 5 kittens, which have all found homes. Now it is Eve’s turn to find a special loving home! She is very sweet and shows her affection with purrs and gentle nibbles; is quite playful and loves the wand toy. Eve likes to sleep with her foster mom and loves people. She would appreciate a gentle, caring, experienced home with a family that will give her time to blossom.
