Story
These are not “cuddlers”. These are young adults that came to us from Indy Neighborhood Cats when they were kittens. They were born feral and we have been working on socialization for months. They do NOT like to be picked up, and barely allow us to pet them. But they LOVE playtime with tunnels and cat trees. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO CONTINUE SOCIALIZATION. Azalea is a sweet girl who will only let you pet her on her terms. Larkspur will not let you move him, pick him up, or do anything to him, except pet him sometimes. He was the spiciest kitten when he came to us and hasn't changed much. He does not trust human hands. He needs a covered litter box with no door or he'll overshoot the sides of the litter box. WE WILL ONLY ADOPT THEM AS A BONDED PAIR. Azalea & Larkspur are TRUE long-haired and will play to the point of overheating themselves, and then panting. These cats have not been around dogs or small children. We insist on a cat-only household with children over 12. Azalea & Larkspur are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and are microchipped. Approximate date of birth is August 21, 2022. Adoption fee = $75 per cat ($150 total) To adopt, please contact us at centralinfostercats@gmail.com.

Story
I received Catailie from a coworker when she was a kitten. I have had her for almost 8 years now. Due to changing circumstances in my life, I am looking to find a new, loving home. I’ve been told many times that she has a unique personality that makes her such a fun companion. She loves to lay on people’s laps and receive pets. Her favorite toys are rubber bands and laser pointers. She would florish with anyone that is looking for a cat that’s wants to be by their side all throughout the day.

Story
Moose was in a set of cats we took in from around the Ft. Meyers local shelter. They were severely affected by the hurricane, and we drove down and took some animals to help and adopt out. We don't have history or his story. He was shaved when he came into the shelter in Florida, as there was hurricane debris stuck in his long hair, and no way to brush it out. Because of that, he will require medical shaving occasionally. He is the first one to greet you when you enter the room, and always wants pets. Don't let his age fool you, he is very active!

Story
BeauThis just in! On 2-25-24, my foster mom reported that I was doing very well. I am sweet-natured and love being close to my humans, sleeping, cuddling, or being in the same room. However, I get startled easily and sometimes jump when people approach me suddenly. I am still very hesitant to be around the cats in the house, but I do get along great with the dog! My dog friend and I sit with each other and sometimes boop noses. I still require plenty of time to learn to trust, but once I do trust you I will become your shadow and follow you everywhere! On October 31, 2023, I was found in Carmel getting ready to go "trick or treating." I ended up at the HSHC, where I've been treated like a king. Being a stray cat, 6 years old, and unfamiliar with the idea of being a pet, I was freaked out initially. I was given a complete check-up, my live fleas were treated, and I was neutered. I went to live in a foster home to learn to trust people and relax. However, this is when I discovered that I don't like cats! I began to terrorize the boy and girl cat in my foster home. My foster mom had to split us up! She said that when I feel scared (most of the time!) I tend to freeze rather than flee. I let her pick me up, hold me, and even brush me, but I still could not relax and enjoy it. So, I am a unique combination of a bully to cats and a coward with people. I need a confident, patient owner who can give me all the time I need to become a brave family member. Obviously, I should be the only cat in the household. I'll do my best to be courageous! 1-24-24
