Please do not send inquiries. These cats can be visited at PetSmart in Carmel/Westfield (14720 US 31N) during store business hours. Applications are available at the store. These are not “cuddlers”. These are young adults that came to us from Indy Neighborhood Cats when they were kittens. They were born feral and we have been working on socialization for months. They do NOT like to be picked up, and barely allow us to pet them. But they LOVE playtime with tunnels and cat trees. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO CONTINUE SOCIALIZATION and BE PATIENT. WE WILL ONLY ADOPT THEM AS A BONDED PAIR. Azalea is a sweet girl who will only let you pet her on her terms. Larkspur will not let you move him, pick him up, or do anything to him, except pet him sometimes. He was the spiciest kitten when he came to us and hasn't changed much. He does not trust human hands. Thanks to our foster Purrcy, Larkspur will come up to me begging for attention while Purrcy is getting his daily loving. He runs off after a few pets. He needs a covered litter box with no door or he'll overshoot the sides of the litter box. These cats have not been around dogs or small children. We insist on a cat-only household with children over 12. They do great with other cats. Azalea & Larkspur are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and are microchipped. Approximate date of birth is August 21, 2022. Adoption fee = $75 per cat ($150 total)

Story
What can be luckier than 7 kittens born on St. Patrick's Day? My name is Gemma and I was that lucky momma! (I know... how did tiny little me carry that many?!) They are all grown and ready for their new homes now and so am I! I loved being a momma and loved all 7 of my babies... but I am not a big lover of other cats. I do love humans though!! I love attention and affection, love sleeping on my people's bed, and even love being brushed! My favorite thing is mealtime... wet food or cottage cheese are my favs! I have perfect litter box manners and am a very chill kinda girl. I would be happiest as the only pet in the house... or if there are others, I will need a slow introduction and time to adjust. I am so excited to meet you! I was one of four cats that people threw out over the last year. I guess they loved me as a kitten, but when I got older, they were finished caring for me. I am ready for a new start. I had kittens which I loved very much. I am so proud of them and have taken good care of them. I hope that you will want to give me a forever home. If you want to adopt me, here is a link to apply. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POMH-A-2231

Story
I was adopted as a kitten but returned to a shelter that doesn't have a lot of money or other resources. I am a beautiful Maine Coon mix. I am not full blooded, but I have that sweet, Maine Coon mix personality. I am hoping to get a forever home this time. I have a brother that I was adopted with. We would love to stay together. We can go separately, but we have been together all of our lives. I am a handsome dude who loves to look out the window or play with catnip toys. I had a polyp in my ear and this rescue took me to a vet who popped it out and I feel so much better. The vet felt pretty confident that she got most of it and it and now I'm on the mend. If you would like to adopt me, here is a link to apply. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POMH-A-6054

Story
Meet Sabel, a gentle and affectionate cat who thrives on companionship. While he's not a lap cat, he adores being close to his humans and enjoys gentle rubs. Sabel has been a cherished part of our family, but due to the demands of nursing school and caring for my child, I can no longer provide him with the attention he deserves. I've noticed signs of anxiety in him, and I believe he would flourish in a home where he can receive more consistent companionship. Sabel is not up-to date on his vaccinations but has been well-cared for. I'm seeking a loving and patient individual or family who can offer him a stable and affectionate environment. If you're interested in giving Sabel the loving home he deserves, please reach out.

Story
BinkyFrankly, I don`t know what all the fuss is about. I am closing in on 9-years-old who is spayed, uses the litterbox faithfully, eats well, and plays with the toys I`m given. I am a beautiful, petite, jet-black female with a long, lustrous coat. Just because I like things the way I like them does not mean I am a bad cat. Yes, I`m picky about when and how I interact with people. And yes, I prefer to be allowed access to the out-of-doors during the day and welcomed back in at night. I am a playful girl; my favorite toys are string toys and things I can bat around the floor. I do not care for children, and I do not tolerate other animals in my home. Despite my objections, I gather that my owner of eight years preferred to permit those creatures in the house. That is why I was surrendered to the HSHC on March 9. Good grief! What did the woman expect? She found me as a stray kitten and knew my personality from the beginning. The shelter staff decided I would be happier in a foster home where I could relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the cattery. The only hitch in this plan is that my foster mom (FM) has never fostered a cat before, and she recognizes that I can be somewhat spicy. She appreciates that I am usually in a calm mood. However, I am currently not in the mood for much interaction with her, and I occasionally hiss at her to make her understand this. Luckily, she also figured out that I would need a long time to fully trust her and feel comfortable. The HSHC staff recommends that I be adopted into an adult-only home without any other pets. I will probably take longer to adjust to my new address than you think necessary. But it will help develop my confidence and sense of security to have calming aids, interactive toys, regular play sessions, and yummy treats. Don`t you agree that a bit of spice makes life interesting? 5-14-25
