Story
Bruno is 1 year old, litter box trained, and loves to play. Bruno is fun to watch when he gets the zoomies and will play with most toys. Bruno has no problems with children of all ages. He was given up, along with his sister May May and his brother Maui. They live with other male and female cats and get along with no issues. He also lives with 3 dogs of all sizes and doesn’t mind them. Bruno has lived inside his whole life and is just waiting for his forever home. Is that you?IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 11, 2024, 9:33 pm

Story
Malcolm and Maksim are Bonded Buddies. They'll be adopted as a pair. This cat came from a situation where they did not get the socialization that house cats typically get from a young age. Because of this, they may be fearful in new situations and when meeting new people, may need help getting used to a carrier, and may never enjoy being picked up and held. Since this cat has lived with other cats, they may benefit from having another cat friend to help them build confidence and show them the ropes. You can find more info here about cats from hoarding situations and how to work with them to set them up for success. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Age: 3yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
This cat is participating in our Camp Purr working cat program, which is designed for feral or semi-feral cats that would be happiest living outside as working cats. Adopters must provide shelter and food/water to these cats year round and need to be willing to work with our Camp Purr team to ensure these cats are acclimated appropriately and humanely to their new environment. Because these cats are familiar with the other cats they are living with currently, we require that all Camp Purr cats be adopted with at least one other Camp Purr cat. The adoption fee for each cat in this program is just $25, and all cats have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. HOW TO ADOPT: These cats are available by appointment only to ensure our team has adequate time to assist you. To get started, please answer a few questions here and a Camp Purr Counselor will email you soon. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 15 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
HOW TO ADOPT: This kitten is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this kitten, please email foster@arl-iowa.org.---Maanya and Maxwell are Bonded Buddies; they'll be adopted as a pair - Loving, attentive, cuddly, and very funny - Loves to sit on your lap and purrs VERY loudly! - A larger cat already and still growing! May have some large-breed cat in her such as Maine Coon - She and her buddy need to be the only pets in their new home - Throughout kittenhood, she and her buddy received veterinary care outside the ARL for various diseases, including a rare gastrointestinal parasite and suspected feline herpesvirus; this kitten will require future veterinary care, including rechecks and ongoing medication, and the foster home has generously offered to cover any medical expenses related to her known medical conditions throughout her life. Today, this kitten appears to have good quality of life with most or all symptoms resolved, but adopters should be aware that she may have future medical challenges (more info at ARL) Primary Color: Orange Secondary Color: White Weight: 9 Age: 0yrs 10mths 1wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
- Very sweet once she knows you; likes to show you her belly and has the cutest tiny meow! - Loves attention and wants lots of head rubs from her favorite people- Doesn't have much patience for being held, so she's looking for people who understand that- Likes catnip toys and plush toys - Can be stressed around other cats and may be happiest as your one and only (slow cat intro recommended) - Happiest in a calm, quiet environment- May have feline idiopathic cystitis, a condition that can appear in times of stress (more info at ARL)This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust to a new home. We've seen good progress here at the ARL, but don't be surprised if it takes several weeks for this cat to become comfortable in a new place. This cat may hide and just observe at first - maybe for quite a while - and that is perfectly normal. Young children are too much for this cat right now, so we are highly recommending a quiet, mature home. We are happy to provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat extra time, patience and TLC, please consider adopting! It will be so rewarding to watch them gain confidence and start enjoying all the good things in life! Story
Sergi is a 2-year-old, long-haired male cat who arrived at the shelter with other feline companions. He’s a bit shy and doesn’t tolerate sudden movements well, so a home without dogs or children is recommended. Sergi may require some time to adapt to his new environment, and he has a folded ear due to past trauma.” Thank you for your interest in providing a forever home for an animal who needs your love! Adult cats are $50, this includes spay or neuter, rabies shot (if over 4 months), FVRCP (distemper), worming, flea treatment, FIV/FeLV testing, and microchip( lifetime, No fees). Kittens (6 months and under) are $70 or 2 for $100. If the cat is at the rescue, email happytalesiowa@gmail.com to set up an appointment. We are available most times but do have adoption events, vet appointments and kitty errands to run. website has current locations https://happytalesranchandrescue.wordpress.com/adopt-me
