Story
Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly broken leg that required surgery and a pin in his leg.  The senior couple could not afford the surgery and they were going to euthanize this handsome boy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue paid the $1,000 bill to fix his leg and save his life.  He was worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has been healing so nicely and getting friendlier and snuggly the past 3 weeks since we picked him up from the vet’s office after surgery.  He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please!  He has started walking on all four legs now, but he still travels with a slight limp in his giddy-up.  Thankfully all the nerves in his paw seem to be intact and we marvel at what a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt her; he hasn’t even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Maddie was brought to us in pretty rough shape.  The emergency physician felt she had been under a hood of a car when she sustained facial injuries.  Upon additional evaluation, it was felt Maddie also had a severe sinus infection.  She had her sinus drained and some teeth pulled.   Nearly a month has passed and Maddy has made a lot of improvement.  Her facial swelling is gone, and her facial wounds have healed nicely.  She is eating well on her own and is no longer on medication.  Now she is in need of her forever home.  We feel a quieter home would suit Maddy best.  She is spayed and her shots are being updated. April 25, 2024, 3:21 am

Story
Hello there, I'm Hamilton. I'm as sweet as honey and as curious as a detective. Life's never dull when I'm around. My mellow nature means I'm a great companion for those quiet evenings in, and my intelligence shines through in our interactions. Loyalty is my middle name; once I choose you, it's for life. My long hair might require a bit of grooming, but I promise it's worth it. I'm looking for a forever home where I can shower my human with love and loyalty. Will you be the one to unlock my heart?

Story
We would like to introduce you to a beautiful cat named Victoria. This girl has a stunning long-haired coat, and lovely black and white coloring. Her journey with our shelter started back in 2019 when she transferred in from another organization, was adopted and now recently returned. She was absolutely well loved and cared for, but sadly seems she just never adjusted to the other cats in the home the last few years, and is chronically stressed out. Behavior meds and keeping her separate were just not working for her. Victoria would prefer to be the only cat in her future home, and we are hoping that we can find someone to open their heart and home to this special lady! Some things to know about Victoria: She is listed at 8 years old, but her previous medical paperwork is a bit conflicting regarding that, and she could be older. She has had bloodwork and testing that shows no obvious age-related issues/diseases. She can be a tempermental lady and often needs her space, but when she wants to cuddle, she will let you know! She absolutely loves treats and will sit and glare at you until you comply and get the bag. She can be rattled by loud or sudden noises and movements. This regal princess is hoping that you will come meet her, and provide her with the safe, quiet and comfortable home that she deserves!Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12 pm and 2 pm -6 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
