Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEET AND LOVING BROTHERS Meow! Our names are Sonic and Shadow. Our estimated date of birth is 2/16/2023. We are sweet brothers who find comfort in one another! We like to be petted and will happily push up against your hand, asking for more pets! We will quietly purr for you. We are sweet and gentle. We will roll over, even allowing belly rubs! We are fairly calm and relaxed. We are interested in toys, but are still learning how to play with them. We are skittish and will approach you for attention once we're comfortable, but it doesn't take long! We would do best with an adopter who can regularly brush us, as our coats can become matted otherwise. We are good with other cats. We have never been around dogs. Due to being easily spooked, we would do best in a home without young children. It's required that we are adopted together. We are at the Kitty Corner, ask to meet us today!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEETHEART SENIOR Meow! My name is Winnie. My estimated date of birth is 6/12/2018. I am a volunteer favorite at the Kitty Corner! I am a precious senior girl with a beautiful coat, but do you know what's even more beautiful than my coat? My heart! I am a very loving but gentle girl. I like to have the top of my head gently petted, and I enjoy being softly spoken to. I am relaxed and calm. When I came to the Kitty Corner, I was shutting down at first and didn't know who to trust... once I realized I was safe, I became a total sweetheart. I began to seek out attention and even allowed my favorite volunteer to give me kisses on the top of my head. I have a soft, but noticeable purr. I have a unique set of ears: my own ear sticks upwards, while the other is a cauliflower ear. I do not like busy or loud environments, and I need my forever home to be quiet and calm. I would do best with an adopter who is soft and gentle. Other cats make me very anxious, so I will need to be the only cat in my new home. I find children to be overwhelming and distressing, so I would do best in an adult-only household. I do not have experience with dogs. I am at the Kitty Corner, could you help me find my forever home?Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEET AND RELAXED Meow! My name is Wisp. My estimated date of birth is 4/18/2018. I am a charming and loving fluffy girl! I love affection and eagerly wait for attention in my cage. I'm very quiet--I won't meow at you, I'll just respectfully stand there and stare at you until you notice and pet me! I'll happily rub against your hands, but if you don't provide me with your hands, I'll just pace back and forth in front of you in my cage until you start petting me again! I am relaxed and mellow. I'm the kind of kitty who would love to chill on your sofa and watch TV with you. I'm outgoing and adjust to meeting new people very quickly. I'm gentle and very even-tempered. I'll allow you to clean my ears, get dirt out of my paws, and cut out knots in my coat, even without smacking or hissing! I have a beautiful and soft coat. I came into the rescue very matted and needed some of my coat to be shaved, so don't mind my uneven fur--it'll grow back! I need to be in a home where my owner can regularly brush my fur. I have a difficult time grooming myself, so I need my owner's assistance to ensure my coat doesn't become matted again! I have a sensitive stomach and react poorly to some brands and types of cat food. At the rescue, I'm being fed Natural Balance's duck and green pea dry food and pate wet cat food. It's recommended I maintain this diet as I've done well on it! I react poorly to seafood flavors and cannot have any seafood-flavored dry or wet food. I have yet to be temperament tested with other cats. I do not have experience with dogs. Since I'm a mellow senior, I would do best with older children who are calm and quiet. I am at the Kitty Corner, ask to meet me!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEET AND CHARMING BROTHERS Meow! Our names are Milo and Otis. Our estimated date of birth is 2/22/2022. These brothers are sweet, fluffy, and are looking for a home together! Milo is a medium-hair who's white with orange tabby markings and has gorgeous golden eyes, while Otis is a long-haired black-and-white cat with emerald green eyes and an adorable black dot on his nose.Otis is outgoing, social, and will happily introduce himself to any new visitors. He often vocalizes and has a very adorable squeaky meow. Milo is relaxed and can often be found "loafing" around the shelter. He doesn't seek out enough often, but if you approach him, he always enjoys being petted. Unlike his brother, he is very quiet. Both of the boys are not very interested in toys and are fairly low-energy. They enjoy exploring and are curious. They need time to adjust to new environments and may seem shut down upon first moving into their new home, but their personality will come out if they're given some time and gentle pettings! They both have sensitive stomachs and are currently on a strict dry food diets--no wet food or treats for them! Since they're bonded, they are required to go to a home together. They find safety and comfort in each other. They are good with other cats. They would do best with older children, as Milo can be easily spooked. They do not have experience with dogs. They are at the Kitty Corner, ready for their forever home!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Story
Approx DOB: January 2024 Aaliyah is the most beautiful young lady with the most luxurious coat and the biggest, most soulful eyes. She wandered into a managed colony of cats after being dumped outside to fend for herself, was taken in by someone who promised her forever and then, through no fault of Aaliyah’s, returned her. She is now looking for her third chance at happiness. Aaliyah will need a quiet, low-key home that will give her the love and patience she needs to blossom again and realize this time it is forever. She is very sweet and affectionate but fast movements and loud noises make her nervous, so she will need a home without children. She seems unphased by other cats, but would do best in a home with a laid back, relaxed and easy-going feline friend if so. She is known to sleep with her humans and get the evening zoomies while playing with her favorite toys. This little girl has had such a tough first 18 months of her life and she is looking for the humans that will help her forget all that so she can finally get her happily ever after. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at www.furryfriendsnetwork.com/adopt/our-expectations. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.com / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Please consider opening your heart and home to a homeless animal. Check out our website on how to become a Foster Parent! Visit www.furryfriendsnetwork.com and look under Foster a Furry Friend.
