Story
Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly broken leg that required surgery and a pin in his leg.  The senior couple could not afford the surgery and they were going to euthanize this handsome boy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue paid the $1,000 bill to fix his leg and save his life.  He was worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has been healing so nicely and getting friendlier and snuggly the past 3 weeks since we picked him up from the vet’s office after surgery.  He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please!  He has started walking on all four legs now, but he still travels with a slight limp in his giddy-up.  Thankfully all the nerves in his paw seem to be intact and we marvel at what a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt her; he hasn’t even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   April 15, 2024, 7:36 pm

Story
Lily’s life story has so many twists you would think it was a Hollywood movie. She was born to a Ragdoll breeder who going to discard her for being an “accident.” Then she was rescued by a woman who appreciated her extraordinary coat. The woman got older and could no longer take care of all of her cats, so her daughter asked friends to help. Our family took Lily in, and we want her to have the perfect, forever home. Can your family give her the happily-ever-after she deserves? Lily is so loving and gentle, she would be perfect for an older person or homebound adult. She would also be wonderful with a child, because she cannot harm them by biting. If there are any problems with her adoption, we will happily take Lily back.

Story
A friend of mine is fighting to save her home from foreclosure, and l’m helping her find a home for her cats. Swyper is a big loverboy. At my friends house, he was used to being around people all the time, and he likes a lot of attention. He’s not clingy, but he is very focused on human interaction and he wants to be petted a LOT. He likes being brushed and is fine when his claws are being clipped. We don’t know how much he weighs, but he is BIG, bigger than our small dog. If you adopt Swyper, you’ll need a large carrier and XL litterbox. He also has a big voice to tell you when he’s feeling hungry or snuggly. He lived with Great Danes, chickens and ducks, and another cat. He is located in Harrisburg, and I was told he had shots about a year ago. If you’re looking for a faithful companion and can’t have a dog, Swyper is your boy.

Story
We would like to introduce you to a beautiful cat named Victoria. This girl has a stunning long-haired coat, and lovely black and white coloring. Her journey with our shelter started back in 2019 when she transferred in from another organization, was adopted and now recently returned. She was absolutely well loved and cared for, but sadly seems she just never adjusted to the other cats in the home the last few years, and is chronically stressed out. Behavior meds and keeping her separate were just not working for her. Victoria would prefer to be the only cat in her future home, and we are hoping that we can find someone to open their heart and home to this special lady! Some things to know about Victoria: She is listed at 8 years old, but her previous medical paperwork is a bit conflicting regarding that, and she could be older. She has had bloodwork and testing that shows no obvious age-related issues/diseases. She can be a tempermental lady and often needs her space, but when she wants to cuddle, she will let you know! She absolutely loves treats and will sit and glare at you until you comply and get the bag. She can be rattled by loud or sudden noises and movements. This regal princess is hoping that you will come meet her, and provide her with the safe, quiet and comfortable home that she deserves!Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12 pm and 2 pm -6 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.

Story
Misty is gorgeous and oh so sweet. This friendly beauty had a rough start and is looking for a loving, safe home where she will be pampered. She was severly matted and had to be partially shaved. Now, she loves to be brushed and cared for. She was in a home where food was not plentiful and was allowed to two litters of kittens that we are aware of. She was fiercely protective but the environment wasn't safe for them. As a result, she is not fond of other kitties and likely will not do well with dogs. She will likely do best as an only pet in the household. Can you offer her a long awaited home? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate), treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be slightly more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.April 12, 2024, 6:39 pm
