Story
Hello world, my name is Charlotte!I`m a sweet senior lady with a gentle soul and very pet-worthy coat. I enjoy prolonged chin rubs and the occasional calm belly rub too. I can be a bit shy when we first meet, but once I get to know you I LOVE meowing and tapping you with my paw for attention. I also have many types of adorable, loud, raspy, funny meows to greet you when you come home. I`m not a big cuddler, I prefer to rest on a comfy pile of blankets nearby, and I certainly shan`t be carried around! But I bring a lot of love, joy and humour - adopt me and let`s spend the day taking a nap!My new family should know that I have early renal insufficiency, which is very common for kitty-cats my age. My friends at GHS recommend my new family connect with their Veterinarian about how to best care for me long-term, and be aware that they will need to monitor me closely for further senior related issues. While my age may mean I need more care, my heart and spirit more than make up for it!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: I could be a good match with older, calm and respectful children.OTHER CATS: I`m in my cat-tirement years and prefer a calm home; I could potentially be a match with a calm and respectful cat after a proper introduction.DOGS: I don`t like the hustle and bustle, so a high energy dog would not make me happy; I could potentially be a match with a calm, cat-savvy dog after a proper introduction.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...FIRST TIME CAT OWNERS: Yes, but experience with senior cats would be an assetACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-mediumIf you think I would make a good match for your home, please click the `Adopt Me` button to apply!

Story
Meet Claus - a thoughtful, observant companion with a love for high places and quiet moments.Claus is a stunning longhaired brown tabby with big, inquisitive eyes that take in everything around him. He enjoys having his space and feels most comfortable perched on tall structures, where he can calmly watch the world go by. Curious and intelligent, Claus prefers to observe first and engage on his own terms. Claus has spent time outdoors and is enjoying his comfy time inside. His favourite spot is up high looking out the window - so he would love a tall cat tree to survery his domain. Food is the way to his heart - treats are his sweet spot! When he's ready, Claus will come to you for a few gentle scratches, soaking up some affection before returning to his favorite spot up high. He's an ideal match for someone who appreciates a cat with a calm, independent nature and understands that trust and connection grow best when allowed to unfold naturally. If you're looking for a quiet, contemplative cat who enjoys companionship without constant attention, Claus may be the perfect fit.If you would like to meet Claus, he is staying at 91 Patterson Rd in Barrie. Story
Cinnamon, spice, and everything nice—that’s our handsome gingerbread boy, Cinnamon. Surrendered due to some unfortunate circumstances, this sweet boy is enjoying life in his foster home. Love and patience are allowing Cinnamon to blossom into the cat he is meant to be.ABOUT CINAMMON- In foster- Cinnamon’s foster parents describe him as “a gentle soul who just wants love.”- He enjoys human company and is eager to check out anyone who visits the home. - Cinnamon enjoys pets under his ears and chin, and he likes to be kissed on the head. How sweet is that? - He allows brushing all over his body, except his stomach, all while enjoying a Churu treat. Gotta keep his gorgeous coat in tip-top condition, especially his stunning tail!- Cinnamon has the softest little meow and can get a good purr going to show he is happy.- He greets his foster mom in the morning, says hello with his trademark meow, asks for a quick pick-up and cuddle, and then he will settle on the back of her chair while she enjoys her coffee. What a wonderful way to start your morning! - Cinnamon has early stage kidney disease that is managed with a prescription diet. - He has a heart murmur that will need to be monitored with regular vet visits and an annual ultrasound.-Cinnamon is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.CINNAMON’S IDEAL HOME- Given his quiet nature, he will likely do best in a home with no young children. - Cinnamon would love to be your one and only feline pal so that he can enjoy all your attention.- Someone who is home more often than not would be an ideal fit for this sweetheart.Could you be the one to open up your heart and home to Cinnamon? He deserves to be loved and cherished once again. Cinnamon will be sure to share everything nice, and even a touch of spice. Apply to adopt Cinnamon today! Story
“I know they are helping me.” - Hobbes the cat.It certainly has been a rough start for our boy, Hobbes. Found wandering on the streets of Etobicoke, very sick and unable to fend for himself, his only hope was to find someone to care for him. EHS stepped in, and his incredible healing journey began. Time to recover from life outdoors, and dental surgeries to successfully address his periodontal disease, has allowed Hobbes to show us his true resilience. Now recovered, our little trooper is ready to find a forever family.ABOUT HOBBES- In foster- Despite his rough past, Hobbes is a very trusting cat. He can be picked up and cuddled any time, any day.- In fact, Hobbes is the true definition of a cuddler! He’ll sit on your lap and enjoy lots of chin scratches and head rubs, all while purring up a storm. He will even stick his head out to get your attention so that you know that he wants more. Hobbes would sit on your lap all day if he could. He just wants to be loved! - He will also allow his foster dad to brush him when he is on his lap. Gotta keep that golden coat in tip top shape. - Hobbes is very food-motivated and meows in excitement when he hears the rustle of the food bag or cans!- He will more than likely require some personalized care due to the fact that he has trouble cleaning himself, and is also a bit of a messy eater! A potential adopter should be willing to give him an occasional bath (which he tolerates very well!) and clean up after he has finished his meal. - Due to Hobbes’s dental surgeries, his tongue seems to stick out of his mouth most of the time. In the endearing words of his foster dad, ‘He always looks like he has a derpy ` :P ` face going on!” What an adorable quirk!- He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations. - Hobbes has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.HOBBES’S IDEAL HOME- Hobbes enjoys the company of felines and would be happy to share a home with another FIV+ friend. Being an only cat would suit him just fine as well.- He is more of a passive participant with the resident cats; Hobbes is a very mellow boy who simply enjoys being in their company.- He does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.- Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly c
