Story
Cinnamon, spice, and everything nice—this pretty well encapsulates our handsome ginger, Cinnamon. Surrendered due to some unfortunate circumstances, this sweet boy is understandably perturbed. Love and patience in his foster home are allowing Cinnamon to slowly blossom into the cat he is meant to be.ABOUT CINAMMON- In foster- Cinnamon’s foster parents describe him as “a gentle soul who just wants love.”- He enjoys pets under his ears and chin, and likes to be kissed on the head. How sweet is that? - At this point, Cinnamon only allows brushing on the top of his head and very limited brushing along his back. - He has the softest little meow, and can get a good purr going to show he is happy.- Cinnamon greets his foster mom in the morning, says hello with his trademark meow, asks for a quick pick-up and cuddle, and then will settle on the back of her chair while she enjoys her coffee. What a wonderful way to start your morning. - He has early stage kidney disease that is managed with a prescription diet. - Cinnamon has a heart murmur that will need to be monitored with regular vet visits and an annual ultrasound.- He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.CINNAMON’S IDEAL HOME- As we get to know Cinnamon, we will be able to better identify his ideal home.- Given his shy nature, he will likely do well in a quiet home with no young children. - Cinnamon’s contact with cats and dogs is unknown.Could you be the one to open up your heart and home to Cinnamon? He deserves to be loved and cherished once again. Cinnamon will be sure to share everything nice, and even a tiny bit of mild spice until he feels comfortable. Story
DOB: May 2020 Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Harry is a stunning long-haired grey boy with a gentle, affectionate temperament. He’s known for his loyalty and “baby-like” personality — happiest when being held or cuddled close. He tends to bond deeply with one or two people and may be shy around visitors at first, but once he trusts you, he’s pure sweetness. Harry never scratches or bites and makes a wonderfully calm and loving companion. He’d thrive in a quiet home where he can feel secure and loved. Harry is to be adopted with his brother Lloyd, another sweet boy and the orange kitty in the photos. Timmy & Lloyd are participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Vanessa at 416-616-0264 - Thank you!

Story
Leroy is perhaps the sweetest cat in the world, and a dear part of our family. He is affectionate, patient, loves to play, and great with our young daughter. He loves to be held, have his chin scratched, and to chase wildly after any toy. We have had him since a kitten and it breaks our hearts to try and find him a new home. He will turn four in March! He is in perfect health with all shots up to date. We are forced to consider rehoming him because he occasionally marks outside the litter box - after much testing, we are certain nothing is medically wrong with him. We suspect the behaviour comes from living with another male cat and not having access to the outside as we are in the core of Toronto (he was a barn cat as a young kitten). Anyone who would welcome him into their home should have no other male cats and allow him ample outdoor time - in return, youre getting a handsome creature full of love and a playfulness I have never known in another pet. Happy to share all the details

Story
Jimmy is a handsome, black, long-haired boy. He is the other half of the Riff/Jimmy duo. Jimmy’s backstory is that both he and Riff were living outside of a colony in the north of Toronto and had been fed by a caring member of the public for their entire life. Their feeder was leaving Toronto and needed to be retrieved from their colony, as there was no replacement feeder for them to turn to.Jimmy is the more outgoing of the twosome; his morning routine is to approach his human while they are lying in bed so that he can have his head and back scratched, enticing them to get out of bed so that he can get breakfast. Like Riff, they both dislike being picked up. He and Riff will play with the other cats in their foster home, running back and forth playing a game of chase.Jimmy has idiopathic epilepsy, which means that he sometimes has seizures that have no identifiable cause. He has been evaluated by a neurologist and does not currently require medication to manage his condition, but he may in the future. Potential adopters will need to take Jimmy in for annual rechecks with a neurologist to monitor his condition. Jimmy has also had a surgery called an FHO (femoral head ostectomy). After his neurological episode, he was limping on his left back leg and was seen by a vet, where x-rays were performed. The X-rays showed advanced femoral head necrosis. Since the surgery, he is no longer limping and has a full range of motion in his back leg. Jimmy is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. He is FIV & feline leukemia negative. He has also had his teeth cleaned at the end of September 2024.Jimmy is meal-fed twice a day; he is accustomed to this method of feeding and will eat his entire meal when it is offered. He is larger than his brother Riff, but still has a healthy body weight. He says he looks bigger because of all the fluff. Jimmy is an adorable and lovely guy, and he loves his brother Riff greatly. They will make a great addition to a patient adopter and, with time, will learn to trust and bond with their human even more so.

Story
Introducing Her Royal Highness, the Grand Duchess Anastasia. This fluffy former colony-cat reigns supreme over her indoor kingdom, spending countless hours sleeping or lounging while binge-watching `Bird TV` from her throne (the couch). While her subjects may long for a royal snuggle, Anastasia prefers to keep her distance - with an aversion to physical contact that would make even the most aloof monarch proud. While she does not bite, Anastasia does regularly hiss and may swat at you out of fear if she is startled upon approach. But her hisses serve as a reminder of her boundaries, telling all who dare to encroach upon her sovereignty that she is not to be trifled with. We admire a lady who speaks her mind. When not busy issuing decrees, Anastasia engages in charitable work, and is a patron of the bread bank - kneading away on her favourite sweater. She also enjoys climbing her cat tower to gaze upon her kingdom and royal subjects. In the middle of the night, Anastasia emerges from her royal chambers to chase balls and spring toys. She also finds joy in the humble cardboard scratcher, a simple scratching post, and cat dancers.Anastasia seeks an experienced adopter of royal caliber - one who appreciates her independent spirit and respects her boundaries. While she may not grant the gift of pets or cuddles, her willingness to share her space speaks volumes of her generous spirit. She will require much patience and understanding as she acclimates to her new domain and in time will grace her chosen companion with the privilege of her presence, basking in their company from a distance. For those with the wisdom to accept her on her own terms, Anastasia promises a companionship as unique and cherished as the crown jewels themselves.Anastasia has a history of mild tartar and may need future dental cleanings. She is negative for FIV and FeLV. Like all ACR cats, Anastasia has been treated for fleas and parasites.
