Story
Meet Kieran! 2 yrs Neutered/Male A stunning, sweet and gentle natured boy, Kieran was struggling to fend for himself on the streets, hungry and malnourished with a poor haircoat, battle scars and a painful broken tooth that needed to be extracted, and the saddest pair of eyes you've ever seen. Now rescued, neutered, his tooth removed and pain free, this dear sweet soul is is making leaps and bounds in his recovery, though he still has some weight to gain and his coat needs to come back to a glossy, healthy sheen. A sweet and loving soul who asks for little more than kindness, Kieran loves his wet food meals, cat nip and he positively loves to be showered in attention and affection. Despite his suffering outdoors and all the hardships he's faced, Kieran is a gentle and trusting cat who deeply craves companionship, cuddles and kisses, and he wants so badly to devote his love to someone special! Kieran seems to be comfortable around other cats with a gentle introduction, but is scared of dogs, and he is looking for a more mature, adult only home without the hustle and bustle of young children where he can spend his days pampered, cuddled, spoiled and cherished for all the unique and wonderful qualities he has to offer. So much love, so much loyalty, so much gratitude, and so very handsome - our Kieran is just so easy to love! Kieran has been vet checked and fully vaccinated, he has been treated for routine parasites, neutered, microchipped and has recovered from his dental surgery and would love to find his purrfect people. An adoption fee of $250 applies. Apply to adopt today at http://priderescue.ca/

Story
Meet Leo! This big fluffball is a happy, independent cat. He is about 6.5 yeaars old. Leo is friendly and likes to be pet. His favorite spots are under his chin and his tummy. He loves to sit with his foster parents for attention and when he is done, off he goes for a nap. Leo will allow being picked up but only for short periods. He likes to play with a lazer pointer, and will stalk and pounce toys or small things like cotton balls. Leo loves to talk when he sees you. He also loves temptations and catit creamy treats. Leo would do best as the only cat in a calmer home. Older more respectful children would be okay. Leo does not like the dog in his foster home and is not proven with other cats. As a long haired cat, he will need regular brushing and likely grooming once or twice a year. This handsome boy has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned and 6 teeth removed. Leo has had a hard life. He was rescued from a motel where monthly renters were feeding him. Leo does have a grade 3 heart murmur and is FIV positive (FELV negative). He is not taking anything for the heart murmur and FIV does not require any treatment. Leo will require an annual vet visit to check on his heart and we have included information on FIV below. If you have room in your heart & your home for this very handsome fluffball, contact us here, email heartstohomesfelines@gmail.com or fill out an application at heartstohomes.ca. FIV is a feline only virus that cannot be transmitted to people or other animal species. FIV is passed between cats through a deep bite wound – deep enough to inject saliva into the bloodstream of the other cat – commonly occurring in outdoor cats who fight for territory. FIV is not passed between cats through casual contact like sharing food bowls or litter boxes or through playing, wrestling or licking/cleaning each other. Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine conducted a long-term study in cat shelters and found that FIV-positive cats can live with FIV-negative cats and not infect the FIV-negative cats during normal day-to-day interaction. Studies over the last 10 years have also shown that cats with FIV often live as long as otherwise healthy cats that do not have this virus. LLOYD, DLH, SIBERIAN, WHITE AND GREYBORN-MAR/01/2021This is Lloyd. She is an absolutely lovely and sweet 4 year old Siberian. She’s a bright kitty that comes when she’s called and always hustles when she hears the treat bag shake! Lloyd is very friendly and loves to be petted, cuddled and will sleep with you nightly. Her favorite nap places are her basket and beaten up boot boxes. Her coat is as soft as they come and does need regular brushing - Lloyd likes to be brushed and doesn’t mind too much having her nails trimmed. Lloyd loves being around people and is good with kids. Lloyd would be best in a quiet home, a single person or a couple, without other pets, and with someone who will give her lots of love.Location-Foster Program (if interested in a meet-and-greet, kindly fill out a no-obligation Adoption Application, and we will make arrangements).

JACKK, M/N, DLH, BLACK AND WHITEBORN-MAY/15/2018Jackk is a super sweet and gentle boy. He loves pets and will give head bumps when he wants attention. He purrs a lot, enjoys being brushed and likes to sleep on or right beside his human. Jackk would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can feel safe and relaxed.
