Story
Meet Little Grey — or LG, if you’re already on nickname terms!! (case #7690) Little Grey is an eight-year-old sweetheart with the softest soul and the biggest heart. He was adopted this past June and deeply cherished by his person, a senior who doted on him and found enormous comfort in his gentle companionship. Sadly, due to an unexpected and serious change in her health, she had to move into a care facility where pets aren’t allowed. Saying goodbye to LG was incredibly hard — he was truly loved, spoiled, and well cared for — and now he’s looking for his next forever home. LG is a loving, social boy who genuinely enjoys being around people. He’s happiest when he can be near you, whether that’s batting at wand toys, playing with his favorite toys, or curling up beside you for a cozy snuggle. He also has a special talent for claiming the bed as his spot, stretching out contentedly and soaking up the comfort. Coming from a quiet, calm home with no other pets or children, Little Grey may do best in a similar environment where he can feel safe and settled. Since arriving, he’s been a bit out of sorts — which is completely understandable given how much his world has changed — but beneath that uncertainty is a deeply affectionate cat who just wants to belong again. Little Grey isn’t just looking for a home; he’s looking for his person. If you have a peaceful home, a warm bed, and room in your heart for a gentle companion who will adore you right back, LG might be the perfect match. Story
The name of the game is PLAY, and Jesse is all in! Stunningly beautiful and full of personality, this friendly girl is just over one year old and absolutely loves to stay busy. She’s bursting with energy and could happily spend hours running around and chasing wand toys - daily playtime is a must, or she’ll definitely let you know she’s bored! When Jesse does slow down, she enjoys lounging on a chair topped with a plush blanket. She’s also a big fan of cat TV and loves watching birds at the feeder through the window. Food-wise, she’s a big fan of pate-style wet food and, of course, Churu treats. Looking for privacy? Not with Jesse! She’ll happily run in to greet you first thing in the morning, even if you’re in the bathroom, chirping and chatting away like she has lots to say. Jesse will need a bit of time to settle into a new environment, but once she’s comfortable, she’s incredibly easy-going, and you will be rewarded with warm sessions of loving slow blinks! Jesse allows her humans to pick her up for nail trims, brushing her gorgeous fur and teeth, and sneaking in a few cuddles. Jesse does have asthma and requires daily inhalers, which she tolerates very well. Jesse is growing more confident with each passing day. She thrives in a calm, loving home and settles in beautifully with both people and other animals. Jesse appreciates soft voices and easygoing movements, and she loves having the freedom to come over and say hello when she’s ready. When given that space, her affectionate and charming personality truly shines. Jesse would do best in a quieter home without small children. She may do well with a calm, gentle dog who won’t chase her, but she MUST have another friendly cat to play with - having a cat buddy is non-negotiable for this playful girl. Jesse came to us as a stray, so her early history is unknown. What we do know is that she’s now ready to find her forever home at last. If you have plenty of time for play, patience while she settles in, and a heart open to an energetic, affectionate girl, Jesse will show you how amazing she is! This sweet girl is so fun to watch and listen to and will keep you entertained for hours on end. Your endless sessions of slow blinks with Jesse await the perfect home!

Story
Holly is an older girl looking for a quiet and patient home! She has plenty of love and cuddles to give but she needs time to adjust to her new surroundings. She really enjoys being brushed and combed, it`s a necessity as her fur gets matted very quickly near her head and rear. Holly sometimes likes to play with toys but only if you`re on the other end, such as a sting toy! Please welcome her into your home with patient, loving, and kind heart. Her complete medical includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations up to date, dewormer, flea treatment, and FIV/Felv/HW test (negative).

Story
Klaus is coming to town!Fittingly, Klaus arrived at EHS from a municipal animal shelter during the Christmas season. Similarly to his namesake Santa, Klaus is described as having a big, bold personality and is ready to settle down in a place to call home.ABOUT KLAUS- In foster- Having once lived as a stray on the streets, Klaus is cautious when it comes to new people and environments. A big fan of the slow approach, he appreciates those who take the time to get to know him through gentle communication and soft blinks. If he feels unsafe, he will hiss and swat.- Once he is comfortable, he loves a few head and chin scritches with the back-scratcher.- He loves to snuggle in his kennel in the shelter but also to survey the world around him while resting on top of his cat tree.- Klaus has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.- He is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans.- He is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help him become more comfortable around people.- Klaus is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.KLAUS’ IDEAL HOME- Klaus would prefer to be the only cat of the household.- Klaus does not require medication but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.- Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family. - A skittish cat, like Klaus, will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Klaus settle into his new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Klaus with a successful transition to his forever home.Always nice and sometimes naughty, Klaus is ready to retire his past life and start again in time for the new year. If you’re ready to give Klaus his second chance, apply to adopt him today. If you have any questions about Klaus or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com
