Story
Cinnamon, spice, and everything nice—that’s our handsome gingerbread boy, Cinnamon. Surrendered due to some unfortunate circumstances, this sweet boy is enjoying life in his foster home. Love and patience are allowing Cinnamon to blossom into the cat he is meant to be.ABOUT CINAMMON- In foster- Cinnamon’s foster parents describe him as “a gentle soul who just wants love.”- He enjoys human company and is eager to check out anyone who visits the home. - Cinnamon enjoys pets under his ears and chin, and he likes to be kissed on the head. How sweet is that? - He allows brushing all over his body, except his stomach, all while enjoying a Churu treat. Gotta keep his gorgeous coat in tip-top condition, especially his stunning tail!- Cinnamon has the softest little meow and can get a good purr going to show he is happy.- He greets his foster mom in the morning, says hello with his trademark meow, asks for a quick pick-up and cuddle, and then he will settle on the back of her chair while she enjoys her coffee. What a wonderful way to start your morning! - Cinnamon has early stage kidney disease that is managed with a prescription diet. - He has a heart murmur that will need to be monitored with regular vet visits and an annualultrasound.-Cinnamon is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and up to date on core vaccinations.CINNAMON’S IDEAL HOME- Given his quiet nature, he will likely do best in a home with no young children. - Cinnamon would love to be your one and only feline pal so that he can enjoy all your attention.- Someone who is home more often than not would be an ideal fit for this sweetheart.Could you be the one to open up your heart and home to Cinnamon? He deserves to be loved and cherished once again. Cinnamon will be sure to share everything nice, and even a touch of spice. Apply to adopt Cinnamon today! Story
Jimmy is a handsome, black, long-haired boy. He is the other half of the Riff/Jimmy duo. Jimmy’s backstory is that both he and Riff were living outside of a colony in the north of Toronto and had been fed by a caring member of the public for their entire life. Their feeder was leaving Toronto and needed to be retrieved from their colony, as there was no replacement feeder for them to turn to.Jimmy is the more outgoing of the twosome; his morning routine is to approach his human while they are lying in bed so that he can have his head and back scratched, enticing them to get out of bed so that he can get breakfast. Like Riff, they both dislike being picked up. He and Riff will play with the other cats in their foster home, running back and forth playing a game of chase.Jimmy has idiopathic epilepsy, which means that he sometimes has seizures that have no identifiable cause. He has been evaluated by a neurologist and does not currently require medication to manage his condition, but he may in the future. Potential adopters will need to take Jimmy in for annual rechecks with a neurologist to monitor his condition. Jimmy has also had a surgery called an FHO (femoral head ostectomy). After his neurological episode, he was limping on his left back leg and was seen by a vet, where x-rays were performed. The X-rays showed advanced femoral head necrosis. Since the surgery, he is no longer limping and has a full range of motion in his back leg. Jimmy is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. He is FIV & feline leukemia negative. He has also had his teeth cleaned at the end of September 2024.Jimmy is meal-fed twice a day; he is accustomed to this method of feeding and will eat his entire meal when it is offered. He is larger than his brother Riff, but still has a healthy body weight. He says he looks bigger because of all the fluff. Jimmy is an adorable and lovely guy, and he loves his brother Riff greatly. They will make a great addition to a patient adopter and, with time, will learn to trust and bond with their human even more so.

Story
Leroy is perhaps the sweetest cat in the world, and a dear part of our family. He is affectionate, patient, loves to play, and great with our young daughter. He loves to be held, have his chin scratched, and to chase wildly after any toy. We have had him since a kitten and it breaks our hearts to try and find him a new home. He will turn four in March! He is in perfect health with all shots up to date. We are forced to consider rehoming him because he occasionally marks outside the litter box - after much testing, we are certain nothing is medically wrong with him. We suspect the behaviour comes from living with another male cat and not having access to the outside as we are in the core of Toronto (he was a barn cat as a young kitten). Anyone who would welcome him into their home should have no other male cats and allow him ample outdoor time - in return, youre getting a handsome creature full of love and a playfulness I have never known in another pet. Happy to share all the details

Story
DOB: May 2020 Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Harry is a stunning long-haired grey boy with a gentle, affectionate temperament. He’s known for his loyalty and “baby-like” personality — happiest when being held or cuddled close. He tends to bond deeply with one or two people and may be shy around visitors at first, but once he trusts you, he’s pure sweetness. Harry never scratches or bites and makes a wonderfully calm and loving companion. He’d thrive in a quiet home where he can feel secure and loved. Harry is to be adopted with his brother Lloyd, another sweet boy and the orange kitty in the photos. Harry is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. If you need more info or would like to adopt please contact Vanessa at 416-616-0264 - Thank you!
