Cookie is sweet in her own way. She isn’t overly cuddly but has her own way of letting you know she cares and misses you.She is FIV positive.

Dunkin is a stunning long-haired flame point with a playful spirit and a tender heart. Because he was older when he came into foster care, he’s still learning that people can be safe and kind. He’s currently receiving lots of one-on-one attention to help him build trust and confidence, and he’s making progress every day. Dunkin will need a special adopter with plenty of patience who is willing to continue working with him at his pace. With time, consistency, and lots of love, we believe this beautiful boy has so much potential to blossom.

When Ivy was 4 weeks old she and her 2 remaining litter mates were orphaned. My husband and I fostered all 3 and when they were old enough to be adopted out the organization we were working with left us high and dry. We kept the remaining 2. Today Ivy is 3 years old and a snuggler! She loves people and is happy to be glued to your side if you let her. She wants to lay near you or on your chest as she sleeps, but also enjoys her personal space. She loves to play, snuggle and chill. She is easy going and a lover! We love her dearly, but Ivy has not adjusted to our 5 month old puppy and is very unhappy in our home because of this. She is not bonded to any of our animals and barely tolerates her sister on a good day! She would be best suited to being the only animal in the home. We are moving to a smaller home soon and things will not get better for her there. We don't want to force her to be so unhappy with the house and pet situation.

Microphthalmus eyes, entropian corrected Wookie is a stunning orange-and-white long-haired boy with a magnificent fluffy coat and an even fluffier heart. Born approximately March 16, 2025, Wookie spent the beginning of his life outdoors in a colony before being rescued on March 20, 2026—just in time to give him the chance at the life he deserved. When Wookie was rescued, he appeared to be blind. He kept his eyes tightly closed, and when he initially went in to be neutered, veterinarians feared that he had permanently lost his vision. Eye removal was even being considered. Thankfully, his foster and rescue team were not willing to make such a life-changing decision without seeking a second opinion. Wookie was evaluated by a veterinary ophthalmology specialist, who discovered something very different: Wookie was not blind at all. Wookie has unusually small eyeballs, and his eyelids were affected by entropion , a painful condition in which the eyelashes and eyelid roll inward and rub against the corneas. This was causing severe irritation and discomfort and was likely something Wookie had endured for much of his life. Despite all of this, he still had normal vision. On April 21, 2026, Wookie underwent entropion surgery to correct his eyelids and finally give his eyes the comfort they needed. The transformation has been incredible. Since surgery, Wookie has absolutely blossomed. He can now see comfortably and clearly, and he is discovering all the wonderful things that come with being an indoor cat—including the joy of seeing the world around him. Wookie is a gentle, docile, sweet-natured boy who can be a little shy at first. He gets along well with other cats and enjoys having feline friends to play with. Once he feels comfortable, his playful side comes out, and he especially enjoys wrestling and chasing his toys. Evenings are Wookie’s favorite time to become active. He loves watching birds, following the laser light, and taking in everything happening around him. After everything he has been through, it is wonderful to see him enjoying the simple pleasures of being a cat. Because Wookie is a gentle and somewhat sensitive boy, he may become overstimulated in a loud or particularly busy household. He would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where he can take his time getting comfortable and allow his sweet personality to emerge at his own pace. His long, soft coat will also benefit from regular brushing to prevent tangles and keep him looking as handsome as ever. After spending her entire life with one family, she's looking for a peaceful retirement home where she can settle in and be cherished. Aurelia was surrendered after her family brought home a new kitten that she simply couldn't adjust to. After ten years in the same home, it was a huge change for this sweet girl. She's ready to find a forever family that understands her and will love her just as she is. This beautiful girl enjoys having her people nearby and loves being part of the action. While she isn't necessarily a full-time lap cat, she's definitely lap adjacent—happy to curl up beside you on the couch and keep you company. Affection is important to Aurelia, but she prefers it on her own terms. When she's in the mood for attention, she'll happily accept pets and has the cutest way of showing her appreciation: she'll shower you with repeated little licks to let you know just how happy she is. Aurelia would do best as the only cat in the home or with one older, respectful feline companion who understands personal space. Kittens and energetic cats simply aren't her style. She does have a medical condition that makes her prone to occasional sores around her mouth and face, but it's very well managed with daily medication. In fact, she's one of the easiest cats to give a pill to—she takes her medicine like an absolute champ! With her medication, her condition is easily controlled and doesn't stop her from enjoying life. Because of her long, beautiful coat, Aurelia will also need regular grooming and occasional shaving to prevent painful mats from forming. She'll look and feel her best with a little extra coat maintenance. Location: This kitty is fostered in Parsonsburg, Maryland, with volunteer transport available to meet approved adopters in Grasonville, Annapolis, Springfield, or Alexandria. Veterinary Care: This kitten is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and has been microchipped. As part of the adoption agreement, the kitten will need to be spayed or neutered by six months of age. The procedure can be completed at an OPH partner veterinarian and will be fully covered by OPH.
