Story
Birthday: October 1, 2024 Gita isn't a newcomer to our rescue, but her return wasn't a fault of her own. She was having difficulty thriving in a home with young children, and after some considerable thought, her owner decided she needed a home that would welcome Gita without the extra stress.  So, here she is again.  Gita may not be a fan of toddlers and other animals, but she's a treasure that would be wonderful in any quiet home.  There is only one word to describe Gita, and that's "sweet." She craves human attention and affection. She personally tries to connect with her human in ways most other pets don't. With a gorgeous calico face like that, who could resist befriending her? She turns into putty whenever you pet her, erupting into loud purrs.  To show her appreciation, she "gifts" you little gentle licks on your hand. Her soft fur is so fluffy that it's like petting a plush animal.  So if you're someone with no little humans or other pets running around, consider Gita! She would be the only pet you'd ever need! Gita's adoption donation is $140 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Gita, please contact Lynn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Meet Rolly! Rolly is a handsome boy born on August 29, 2025, in Standard Steel in Lewistown. He came to the rescue as a tiny bottle baby along with his siblings, and thanks to lots of love and care, he has grown into a confident, affectionate, and absolutely adorable kitten. This fluffy charmer has long, beautiful brown fur that gives him a truly striking appearance. His coat does require regular upkeep, so Rolly will do best with an adopter who is willing to dedicate time to brushing and grooming, and possibly schedule occasional visits to a professional groomer to keep him looking and feeling his best. Rolly is a total lovebug. He adores being close to his people and is happiest curled up around your neck, on your chest, or settled into your lap for a nap. When he’s not snuggling, he’s busy being a playful kitten—he loves interactive toys, chasing wand toys, and wrestling and playing with other kittens. Because he thrives on companionship and play, Rolly will need a companion animal in his forever home, whether that’s another kitten or a friendly young cat. If you’re looking for a fluffy, affectionate, and playful best friend who wants to be involved in every part of your day, Rolly could be the perfect addition to your family.  His  adoption donation is $135  and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter/spay. He is currently living with a foster in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  If you would like more information on Rolly,  please contact Cindi  at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Miss Lotti is a sweet girl, she is estimated to be just over a year old. Lotti is very sweet with people but a little timid around other cats. She tends to stay to herself in our community cat room but comes out to see us when approached. She enjoys being held and loves affection. Lotti will thrive in a quieter home and could live with another cat, we think she is just overwhelmed in the community room. She is not aggressive with the other cats, she would rather stay to herself when in a large group. ____________ Considering Lotti for adoption? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/Cat Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents

Story
Someone please adopt sweet Sadie she's beginning to melt right in...this gorgeous long haired gal is the sweetest soul with a little bit of history. She was abandoned by her family who once very much loved her. They loved her so much they had her spayed and microchipped. Sadly when contacted they never responded leaving Sadie left in a chaotic rescue. While being outside fighting for her life she somehow broke her tail which then healed on its own OUTDOORS with no comfort or medication in the middle of winter. Poor Sadie has endured so much in her short time here and has nothing but love. She loves being curled up with you 24-7 and is extremely vocal she will hold endless conversations with you while staring into your eyes. She doesn't let anything slow her down including her tail. It is a little deformed and is a nub but doesn't hender her in anyway. She loves being brushed. She is spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV, FELV and heartworm. She also has revolution applied monthly and has been dewormed as well.
