Story
Approx DOB: August 2025 Hugo is a very stunning long hair young man beginning his search for his forever home. He hasn’t been in his foster home very long but has acclimated quickly and absolutely adores the other cats and kittens he gets to spend his days with. He got very lucky when he happened to show up on camera during a local Trap-Neuter-Return project, and a foster took him in. Hugo and his brother Ivan came in together and very much enjoy playing and hanging out with each other. They currently do need to be adopted together and as a bonus would love it if their forever home had another friendly feline friend or two. He will do best in a home without small children as they have not grown up around them. Please note: Cats and kittens are social creatures and greatly benefit from being with other pets; therefore, kittens under the age of 6 months cannot be adopted as single pets. All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, treated with flea preventative, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adoption application, phone interview, home visit, and adoption fee required (+ PA Sales tax). Adoption fees are: Baby (Kittens up to 1 year) = $125 Young & Adult (1-7 years) = $100 Seniors (8+ years) = $80 Please also read our Core Values prior to applying at https://furryfriendsnetwork.org/adopt-a-furry-friend/core-values/. If you are interested in adopting a cat(s), we ask that you complete an on-line adoption application to get the process started. To apply, simply go to www.furryfriendsnetwork.org / Adopt a Furry Friend / Adoption Application. You will receive a welcome email once your application has been assigned to a volunteer processor (this should be within 72 hours of submitting an application). If you do not receive such an email, contact catapplication@furryfriendsnetwork.com. Once your application has been processed (this can take approx. 10-14 days), we will arrange contact with the foster to schedule a time to meet cats you might be interested in. We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your patience during this process. Foster Homes are needed in order to help more animals like this one. Story
Birthday: October 1, 2024 Gita isn't a newcomer to our rescue, but her return wasn't a fault of her own. She was having difficulty thriving in a home with young children, and after some considerable thought, her owner decided she needed a home that would welcome Gita without the extra stress.  So, here she is again.  Gita may not be a fan of toddlers and other animals, but she's a treasure that would be wonderful in any quiet home.  There is only one word to describe Gita, and that's "sweet." She craves human attention and affection. She personally tries to connect with her human in ways most other pets don't. With a gorgeous calico face like that, who could resist befriending her? She turns into putty whenever you pet her, erupting into loud purrs.  To show her appreciation, she "gifts" you little gentle licks on your hand. Her soft fur is so fluffy that it's like petting a plush animal.  So if you're someone with no little humans or other pets running around, consider Gita! She would be the only pet you'd ever need! Gita's adoption donation is $140 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Gita, please contact Lynn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/  Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please fill out the online application at https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html December 14, 2025, 10:30 am

Story
Birthdays: October 10, 2025 Thistle and Bramble are a beautiful bonded sister pair with a story of resilience and heart. Rescued from a trap–neuter–return operation in Lancaster along with several siblings, these two were the very last to be trapped. Understandably, they began their journey quite fearful of humans, but with patience, love, and dedicated foster care, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful companions.   Thistle is a stunning long-haired gray kitten with a white chest and paws. She’s energetic, curious, and always ready to investigate something new. Toys are her passion, and she happily seeks out affection once playtime winds down.   Bramble, her short-haired tortoiseshell sister with striking golden highlights, is a sweetheart who adores playing with other kittens. When she’s not chasing toys, you’ll find her cozied up making biscuits on a fuzzy blanket—pure contentment in kitten form.   Both girls have been well socialized with other kittens and even a resident dog, learning that humans are safe, kind, and worthy of their trust. They love laser toys and fast-moving wand toys, and they bring out the best in each other.   Thistle and Bramble would thrive in just about any loving home, but they truly shine together and would prefer to be adopted as a pair. If you’re looking for two playful, affectionate sisters to grow up with, these girls are ready to steal your heart.   Thistle and Bramble's adoption donation is $305 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Short, dark, and handsomeLord Flufferton is a courtesy post and is not an official Castaway Critters cat. Please do not complete an adoption application but contact Annette in Harrisburg at alr20@comcast.net for more details. Lord Flufferton is one gorgeous guy! And he has a personality to match. Better known as Fluff, he loves to hang out with you, loves to lap sit for short periods, and is very friendly and affectionate as long as you're a human. He's not particularly good with other cats but great for an 'only-one-cat' kind of person. Fluff wandered into a stray cat feeding station in Harrisburg, looking like he'd just stepped out of the groomer's. He was a pet, as evidenced by a microchip, but his owner was never located. He's a long-haired cat but doesn't seem to need much brushing. He's also a perfect litter box user.Fluff is fully vetted. He's neutered and current on his vaccines and received a clean bill of health during a physical exam, including a negative fecal test. He also tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. An adoption donation of $25 and reference checks are required. Contact Annette in Harrisburg at alr20@comcast.net for more details.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 24, 2025, 5:45 pm
