Story
Miss Lotti is a sweet girl, she is estimated to be just over a year old. Lotti is very sweet with people but a little timid around other cats. She tends to stay to herself in our community cat room but comes out to see us when approached. She enjoys being held and loves affection. Lotti will thrive in a quieter home and could live with another cat, we think she is just overwhelmed in the community room. She is not aggressive with the other cats, she would rather stay to herself when in a large group. ____________ Considering Lotti for adoption? Start by filling out our online application (copy and paste the following link) https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DIX/Cat Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone or email. A Petfinder Inquiry is not the same as an application - COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a generated confirmation email. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY READY TO ADOPT. All of our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them once adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. We facilitate adoptions through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to VA, MD, PA, NJ, CT, VT, and NY. Our dogs travel in comfort with 24/7 care. We have been facilitating long distance adoptions since 2019. ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible. *** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents

Story
Meet Eeyore! Eeyore is a sweet, soulful male kitten with a gentle heart.   Found as a stray alongside his four siblings, Eeyore has grown into a calm, affectionate boy who finds comfort in those he trusts—especially his best friend, Tigger, to whom he is deeply bonded. These two are inseparable and must be adopted together.   Eeyore may take a little time to warm up in new situations, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines through. He enjoys quiet companionship, soft affection, and being close to his people. He has been around a small dog and did well, and he would be happiest in a quieter home with older children who understand gentle interactions.   Eeyore’s steady, soothing presence balances Tigger’s affectionate enthusiasm perfectly, making them a wonderful duo for someone looking to welcome two loving kittens into their home.   If you’re ready to open your heart to a bonded pair who will bring comfort, companionship, and love, Eeyore and Tigger are waiting to meet you. Eeyore is currently living at a foster home in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Eeyore’s adoption donation is $175 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter/spay. Eeyore will be neutered/spayed when he/she is big enough, and can go home after that (mid January), but can be adopted in the meantime. Eeyore will be tested for Felv/FIV   If you would like more information on Eeyore, please contact  lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/  Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets. Story
Birthday: October 1, 2024 Gita isn't a newcomer to our rescue, but her return wasn't a fault of her own. She was having difficulty thriving in a home with young children, and after some considerable thought, her owner decided she needed a home that would welcome Gita without the extra stress.  So, here she is again.  Gita may not be a fan of toddlers and other animals, but she's a treasure that would be wonderful in any quiet home.  There is only one word to describe Gita, and that's "sweet." She craves human attention and affection. She personally tries to connect with her human in ways most other pets don't. With a gorgeous calico face like that, who could resist befriending her? She turns into putty whenever you pet her, erupting into loud purrs.  To show her appreciation, she "gifts" you little gentle licks on your hand. Her soft fur is so fluffy that it's like petting a plush animal.  So if you're someone with no little humans or other pets running around, consider Gita! She would be the only pet you'd ever need! Gita's adoption donation is $140 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Gita, please contact Lynn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com.
