She recently came into the shelter through no fault of her own, and while she’s still adjusting to her new surroundings, her gentle spirit is already shining through. Jasmine previously lived with another cat and would likely enjoy the company of a calm, respectful feline friend in her new home. She’s slowly coming out of her shell, taking quiet steps toward trust, and with patience, kindness, and a little time, she’s sure to blossom into a wonderful, loyal companion. She was originally rescued with her sister, Pallas. Nova is a friendly girl who loves cuddling up to other cats and is open to pets, but sometimes unsure or doesn’t know how to ask. She loves playing with her foster siblings and with springs and puff balls. She’s not so sure about being held. Nova is super talkative when it comes to dinner time!

Beautiful Raquel needs a patient, understanding, gentle adopter. She's never experinced those things from a human before and she doesn't quite understand them yet. Raquel originally came from an overcrowded home in Erie County where she was neglected and ignored by the humans. She and a few of her housemates made their way to a shelter here in Westmoreland County where she stayed for about 6 months while volunteers worked hard to gain her trust. Sadly, that shelter had to close their doors so Raquel came to us at Pet Freinds in the hopes that a home environment would help her come out of her shell. Progress has been slow and she is still very fearful and can come off as a mean girl. While Raquel is loved and safe in her foster home, we would love to see her move into a permanent situation so she won't ever need to move around again. It is possible she would be happier and better suited for barn-cat life away from people and those homes would be considered. Ultimately, we'd love to see her go into a quiet home with a loving, patient family. She may never be a lap cat or even be terribly social but she is a gorgeous girl who deserves a chance at a soft place to land.

Calm - Friendly - Cuddly While Baguette started out shy and nervous, she quickly adjusted to being in her foster house. Now she loves getting pets and attention and happily cuddles when her fosters sit next to her. Even during playtime she’s often more interested in giving and receiving affection while her foster siblings are busy playing, although she certainly still has a playful side. She hasn’t climbed into our laps yet, but she’s put a paw up on our leg before and given her loving nature we think it’s possible, although not guaranteed, that she could eventually become a lap cat. Baguette’s fur is extremely long, soft, and majestic and she loves having it brushed, but it is prone to matts and she sheds a lot, so it will require care and possibly regular trips to a groomer. She frequently cuddles with and receives comfort from her foster sister Brioche, and we consider them to be bonded.
