Story
Mr. Chill is our gorgeous solid grey and white long haired handsome, young boy that is a miracle cat.  A vet that Critter Cavalry Rescue works with, called about Mr. Chill who was brought in to their clinic with a badly broken leg that required surgery and a pin in his leg.  The senior couple could not afford the surgery and they were going to euthanize this handsome boy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue paid the $1,000 bill to fix his leg and save his life.  He was worth it !!!!  His regular name was Cloudy but we nicknamed him Mr. Chill.  He has been healing so nicely and getting friendlier and snuggly the past 3 weeks since we picked him up from the vet’s office after surgery.  He greets his foster mom at the door in the morning, ready for her to pick him up and hold him over her shoulder.  He wants lots of head scratches, please!  He has started walking on all four legs now, but he still travels with a slight limp in his giddy-up.  Thankfully all the nerves in his paw seem to be intact and we marvel at what a trouper he has been!  As you can see from his good looks , he is also a gentleman and has been so tolerant of the other younger and more energetic kitten in the cat room of the house.  He has never hurt her; he hasn’t even growled to ask her to please quiet down and behave.  He just embraces the fun.  Mr. Chill is all that and more….such gentle boy.  He is  destined to become a lap cat, not because he has to, but because he wants to.  Purring is guaranteed with his adoption and at no extra charge!   Please write to us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
Mary is our most precious girl that is 8 months old and only 6 pounds.  She is a heavenly vision in our book.  The solid grey mixed with the ethereal white long fur is just so inviting to pet and stroke and snuggle with her.  She is all of that angelic approach and more.  Mary loves to lounge around the house looking like a 1940’s Glam Girl and who actually personifies it with her very calm nature.  This is a truly unique cat that you will count as one of the top companion pets in  your lifetime.  She is super sweet and loves belly rubs as a sign of affection and connection as well. She is incredibly affectionate and loves playing with wand toys that dance in front of her face and lures her into a game of chase and pounce. She sleeps next to her foster mom’s pillow every night and it such a comfort and loving connection.  She was adopted recently to a home that had a very aggressive and alpha cat that truly  was mean and hateful to Mary. We took her back for her own safety and it has taken 3 months to get her back to a good frame of mind. She is in a new foster home with other cats and dogs and there are no issues.  She would do well with another mellow cat like her if you are wanting a companion.  Otherwise she can just be the only LOVEBUG in your life.  If you are interested, please email at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Clair! This DIVA has the looks of Audrey Hepburn and the purrrsonality of Mariah Carey! She enjoys having paparazzi and will let you know when to pet or not to pet. Claire's owner passed away and she is experiencing many changes. NO OTHER CATS and a quiet environment would suit her best.  Clair has a slight cloudiness in her right eye, and has been checked out by the Cat Shack vet.  The vet says it doesn't bother her, and she's likely had it since birth.  She possibly has limited vision in that eye, but other than that, it is of no concern.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Update:Leila (on the bottom) is a striking longhair and a pretty big-sized lady. She has warmed up to her foster Mom considerably since coming to her current foster home and will sometimes accept being petted when approached calmly. Although she certainly spends some time outside in the enclosed yard of her foster building, she spends the majority of her time inside, usually on a cat tree or comfy bed. She seems certain to be a real homebody and will be a beautiful presence in a quiet, traffic-safe barn home. Leila and her long-term companion, Croissant, continue to be closely bonded and are adoptable only as a pair. Original Post:Leila is a sweet but cautious kitty who is quite shy around most people. She might eventually allow a person she trusts to pet her, but doesn't want to be picked up or held. She does well with other cats, but has had no direct exposure to dogs. Leila will most likely be happiest as a barn cat in a quiet barn environment in a traffic-safe location. Adoption together with her close friend and companion, Croissant, is a must!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Rosie for more information about this pet.4/20/24Harvey is doing so well since entering foster care!  He's had excellent litterbox manners from day one and is such a quiet, sweet house guest.  He was very scared at first, but once his fellow foster cat Eleanor joined him, he's really come out of his shell, so we do think he would be happiest being adopted with a friendly buddy (maybe Eleanor?). He loves treats and really enjoys being brushed.  He's such a good boy!original post:Welcome Harvey to The Cat Shack! Actually, I should say welcome back to Harvey as he was adopted from the Cat Shack as a tiny kitten about 9 years ago. Harvey lived in the same home these past 9 years and witnessed so many changes! Marriages, a human baby joining the family and various new pets coming and going. His former owner tells us that Harvey is a sweet cat who loves to be brushed but he can startle easily. Because he frightens easily, he’s become stressed with the increased activities of a toddler and several outdoor cats and unfortunately, he’s missed the litterbox in his former home. His former owner believes that Harvey needs to live in a calmer household to really shine. The veterinarians at Perkiomen Animal Hospital have carefully checked Harvey and they have given him a clean bill of health! He’s now chilling in a quiet foster home so we will be able to get a better feel for his personality soon.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Adopting from The Cat Shack The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home.
