Story
Hi, my name is Stormy. I am a handsome, one year old, DLH, gray tuxedo male. I was born in September 2024. I am gentle, loyal, and playful. I am a faithful companion and master laser chaser. I enjoy the simple things in life like napping in the warmth of the sun and looking out the window to keep a watchful eye on the neighborhood. I am also good at observing all the action inside my home. I once hid under the bed and preferred to stay tucked away in the bedroom, but now I am right in the thick of it. You can find me lounging on the stairs as well as on elevated furniture so I won’t miss a thing and can be part of the action. It’s especially important to be close by when the dogs are offered treats. That means that I get one too. I am no longer a shy and cautious foster kitten. My patient and understanding foster family earned my trust and brought out the best in me. Now I strut around as a confident member of the family. I really enjoy hanging out with my humans on the couch when they are napping or watching TV. I also hangout nearby when they are cooking or doing their school work in the kitchen. I would make an excellent supervisor for someone that works from home. I am friendly with dogs and cats and incredibly patient and tolerant with young kittens. My foster family says that I do a great job welcoming new fosters to our home. I have a little foster sister named Maple. She has recently become my shadow and we really enjoy playing together. If you are interested in two fluffy cats, you should consider a double adoption. We can help each other settle in and we will keep each other company when you go to work or run errands. Something else you need to know about me is that I have a health condition call stomatitis. Stomatitis is an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation in my mouth and results in swollen lymph-nodes. The vet can prescribe medication when necessary to reduce the inflammation and help me feel better. My foster parents have been impressed by my positive spirit and resilience. They are happy to report that I don’t let this condition slow me down and I behave like a typical one year old cat. It’s just something to be aware of. In addition to the oral condition, I also have a sensitive digestive system. This means that I can’t handle sudden food changes and prefer to stick with a consistent diet. I eat a prescription food called Science Diet Biome and it works well keeping my tummy happy. I am looking for a patient and loving family that will prioritize my health and give me plenty of time to settle in. I think a quiet home with respectful family members would be the best fit. Dogs and cats are great too! You are invited to complete an application if we sound like me might be a good match. My foster family would love to chat with you about how special I am and how much joy I have brought to their lives.October 17, 2025, 3:23 pm

Story
Meet Winston – A Tiny Hero with a Huge Heart Winston is a handsome boy with a larger-than-life spirit and a story that will tug at your heartstrings. When he was just a tiny baby, he was accidentally closed in a recliner and suffered an injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Sadly, he didn’t receive medical care right away—but thanks to a kind-hearted Good Samaritan and our rescue, he’s now safe, loved, and thriving. Winston may never walk, but he doesn’t let that slow him down. He’s full of playful energy, curiosity, and spunk. He zooms around in his diapers, chases toys, and wrestles with his foster siblings. He’ll need a special kind of home—one that can help him express his bladder every 8-12 hours, assist with bowel care, and keep a close eye out for potential issues like UTIs. Though these care tasks are very important, they don’t actually take up a lot of time. Maybe 15 minutes a day. He also gets bathed every 1-2 weeks. This is not a typical adoption—Winston will require lifelong special care. But if you’re someone with experience in special needs cats (or someone open to learning), we promise the joy, love, and inspiration Winston brings will be more than worth it. Winston is beautiful, brave, and bursting with personality. Are you the person who can give this little fighter the incredible life he deserves?November 14, 2025, 10:30 am

Story
Adalee is a gorgeous long-haired gray tabby female kitten about 3.5 months old (DOB about 9/1/25).  She LOVES everyone as soon as she meets them.  She is VERY playful and active.  She loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored.  She lives with and gets along well with cats and dogs, and we think she'd be great with kids.  She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had two distemper vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and spayed.  Additional vaccines (third distemper and rabies) included in the adoption fee.  Preference will be given to local adopters who have a young playmate/companion for the kitten or are willing to adopt a pair.  We do not adopt kittens to homes where they will be a solo pet.   If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 (land line) or hhfrey1@tds.net.   We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the 'purrfect' match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.December 9, 2025, 6:58 pm
