Story
Baguette and Brioche are GROGEOUS long-haired sisters about 8 weeks old (DOB about 4/1/23).  Baguette is a the orange mackerel tabby, while Brioche is the Silver tabby.  Baguette is a little shy, while Brioche is very outgoing.  WE PLAN TO ADOPT THEM LOCALLY AS A PAIR.  They are VERY playful and active.  They love to play with toys or other cats and are never bored.  They like to be held and to snuggle.  They get along well with cats, and I think they'd be great with dogs and kids.  They are negative for feline leukemia and aids, had their first distemper vaccine, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked and spayed.  Not ready before Jun 20.  Additional vaccines included in adoption fee.  If interested in these cutie pies, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net  We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. The majority of our cats and kittens come from high kill shelters. Through our application and interview process, we strive to make the 'purrfect' match to insure a loving, lifelong home for those in our care. We do NOT receive funding from any national organization, federal or state governments.June 5, 2023, 11:11 am

Story
Addie is a gorgeous long-haired torti female kitten about 12 weeks old (DOB about 2/26/23).  She is a quiet little girl who seems to be a bit of an introvert.   She was born to a feral mom, but the rescuer gave her tons of care and attention.  She was carried around and spoken to constantly, and it shows. She loves to be held and to sit by you. She is wonderful company. She'd likely prefer a home that is rather quiet like she is. She is VERY playful and active.  She loves to play with toys or other cats and is never bored.  She gets along well with other cats, and we think she'd be great with dogs and older kids, as long as the home is quiet.  She's negative for feline leukemia and aids, had two distemper vaccines, been wormed, had advantage for fleas, and been vet checked, spayed, and microchipped.  Additional vaccines (this distemper and rabies) are included in the adoption fee.  Preference will be given to adopters who have a young playmate/companion for the kitten.  We typically do not adopt kittens less than 6 months old to homes where they will be a solo pet.   If interested in this cutie pie, please contact Holly at 865-671-4564 or hhfrey1@tds.net.   We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. Story
🐾💜🐾 SPECIAL NEEDS CAT 🐾💜🐾Grady is one amazing cat who has managed to pluck at all of our heartstrings at MAARC. He came to us as a severely underweight stray with unkempt fur and what appeared to be cataracts on both eyes. Then we learned he was also FELV+ and after he was neutered he (*ehem*) continued to seek the affections of a stuffed toy which earned him the surname Von Humperdinck. We didn't know what to make of him, but one thing was for certain; we would not give up on him and he's become a shelter favorite. He can't see well and doesn't move very fast, but he has the sweetest disposition and doesn't even make a fuss when it's medication time. If you are one of those amazingly kindhearted people who would like to adopt a special needs cat, please contact Ellery at (865) 851-5235 or apply online at maarcadopt.org/adopt
