Story
*Lola and Eloise are a bonded pair. They must go home together* Meet the dynamic duo, named Lola and Eloise. These sisters are 9 years old and are looking for their new furever retirement home. Lola and Eloise are slowly adjusting to shelter life, they find the shelter to be very stressful, and will need time to adjust to their new home as well. The way to tell these girls apart is that Lola is the shorthaired cat, while Eloise has the long locks that need to be brushed out for her. Unfortunately, these sisters were surrendered to us after a family member in their previous home developed an allergy to cats, and could no longer be in the home. A few things that these girls love are sunbathing in front of a window, scratching on their scratching post, and taking long naps curled up on the sofa. We were told that Lola and Eloise would do better in a home with older children, as younger children tend to be a lot for them to handle, they are old ladies after all. But these two girls are microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, as well as being litterbox trained. If you think this duo would be a lovely addition to your home, come and see them today! Lola and Eloise are available at the Benbrook Waggin' Tails Adoption Center everyday from 12-6. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 817-249-3647

Story
Jennyanydots is an incredibly shy but sweet lady. During the day Jenny is happiest curled up on her foster moms pillow or sitting in a sunny window. At night she comes out in the kitchen and curls up on the dining room chairs and watches the activity of the other cats and her foster dad, because he is the family night owl. Jenny loves to be pet but she is shy about approaching. She will come up to you when things are very quiet and calm or prefers you approach her slowly. She would do well in a forever home that is peaceful and where she is either the only cat or with one other friendly cat sibling. Born 1/3/2014 Jennyanydots grew up as a street/porch cat in the Fairmount neighborhood of Fort Worth. One day a nice family noticed that Jenny was looking pretty thin and worn and decided to help her out. They took her to get spayed and her shots. Then they brought her to Meowntown to find her a loving family. Due to her life on the streets Jenny had some pretty bad teeth that had to be pulled. The vet also discovered she was missing several other teeth and had some that were broken. The vet said it was most likely from trying to break into containers trying to get food and defending herself on the street. Because of her dental problems, Jenny will require annual teeth cleanings and a wet food diet to help keep her happy and healthy. She also needs help brushing and cleaning her beautiful fur coat. She is okay with other cats, dogs and older kids. If you are interested in me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a meeting with my foster home!

Story
Hi, I’m Fozzie! I’m a charming young kitten with a heart full of courage and a coat that’s as soft as a cloud. I was found in Fort Worth when I was just a tiny 4-week-old, and since then, I’ve grown into a brave and curious explorer. My long, fuzzy fur isn’t just for show—it’s perfect for snuggling and making you fall in love with me! I’m always on the go, whether I’m investigating every corner of my space or leaping around in playful adventures. My energetic spirit means I’m always ready for action, and my outgoing nature ensures I’ll make friends wherever I go. Though I’m small, my adventurous heart and fearless attitude make me the perfect companion for someone looking for a lively and loving kitten. If you’re ready for a furry friend who will fill your life with excitement and affection, I’m your guy! (Check out my brother, Ziggy, too! He would be a great buddy to bring home with me!) Born 7/13/2024 This kitten has not been neutered yet, but is available as Foster2Adopt. You adopt and take the kitten home with you, and we pay for and arrange for neuter later. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!

Story
Hey there! I’m Ziggy, and I’m on a quest to find my forever family. With my stunning white and grey fur and my long, luxurious coat, I’m not just a pretty face—I’m also a bundle of fun and affection! I was found in Fort Worth with my brother, Fozzie, when we were merely 4 weeks old. Check him out as well - he would make a wonderful buddy for me to bring into your home with me!! My playful nature means I'm always ready for a game of chase-the-toy or a spirited romp around the house. But don’t let my energy fool you—I’m also a pro at snuggling. When the day winds down, I’ll be right there on your lap, purring away and soaking up all the love. Oh, and did I mention I’m hilarious? Whether I'm pouncing on imaginary prey or making the most amusing faces, I’m sure to keep you entertained and smiling. If you’re looking for a kitten who brings laughter, playfulness, and snuggles into your home, look no further. I’m ready to add a little Ziggy zing to your life! Story
PLEASE READ: Meet Pablo! He’s a very well tempered shelter cat. He loves cuddles and laying on your chest. He even gets compliments from his vets about how friendly and well behaved he is! A little backstory- I adopted him from HSNT, his previous owners had his front paws declawed and then returned him due to him getting into a fight with one of their feral outdoor cats. He and my current cat have never fought, but they aren’t friends either, they merely coexist like roommates. I adopted him in hopes of getting my existing cat a friend, but pablo doesn’t like to play/roughhouse. He would go best in a home with calm mannered/older animals, or a solo home. He has food allergies (diagnosed by vet) which makes him quite high maintenance for my 50 hour work weeks since he has a tendency to have diarrhea and throw up hairballs often. He requires a special veterinary prescribed food to help/eliminate it. Please reach out if you have questions!

Story
Penelope is sweet, cuddly, very friendly. We are looking to rehome because she does get anxious and our older female cat bullies her, we can tell it is affecting her happiness. We do have an older male cat that she gets along with really well so we believe it's specifically that the 2 girls don't get a long.
