Story
Meet Maggie: 12-year-old female | Long-haired tortie >> Hi, I'm Maggie; affectionate, expressive, and never shy about sharing my thoughts. I love attention, enjoy being close to my people, and will happily talk to you throughout the day. If you're looking for a loving companion with a big personality, I might be your girl. NOTE: Maggie has recently had a lion's cut to address matting issues. >>These six cats recently lost their elderly owner and are adjusting to a big life change after many years together. They include affectionate seniors and gentle adults, from social companions to quieter cats who need time to build trust. See individual posts for Socrates, Marvin, Maggie, Ty, Tab, and Sally. All have been vetted and are up to date with shots. They are used to living with other cats and respectful dogs, they would thrive in calm, patient homes. They can be adopted together or individually and are simply looking for kindness, stability, and a loving place to land.

Story
Meet Lemon and AppleSpecial needs & bonded pair sisters! Our names are lemon and apple and we have epilepsy - the good news is, we are off medications and doing great with no seizures since arriving at our foster home. Hopefully we have grown out of it ?? After getting spayed in summer, we started having seizures when we got let out of our kennel at the shelter to play. We were tiny little kittens, and were so excited to run around - but about 30 minutes after we ran and chased each other very very hard, Lemon collapsed and had her first seizure. Next time we tried to play, it was Apple. It was very scary, but we were in good hands at the shelter and they took such great care of us - they brought us in to see a kitty doctor asap! We’ve had many tests done, all coming back negative or normal. It was weird though, we could sit and hang out all day long in our cage, snuggling eachother, waiting for play time, and not a single seizure. It happened again and again where we would be let out to play, and (as kittens do) play very very hard, and suddenly start to seizure 30 minutes after. It was so confusing, we just wanted to be normal kitties! We started medications, and continued cage rest. A month or two later, our foster mom (who luckily is a vet) took us home to give us a chance. The first night she took us home (with anti-seizure medication ready in case) she just opened the cage and let us run free range!! We had to learn how to use stairs?? We ran and played very hard, and Lemon did have one small seizure after running full speed into a mirror (anticipated lol), but after that we have had no seizure activity since. We are officially weaned off our seizure medication, we have lived normal kitten lives in a foster home for about a month with no seizures, and we are OH SO HOPEFUL we have grown out of our epilepsy ?? Oh, and to our foster mom’s surprise Apple is deaf! Because of their epilepsy, but more so due to Apple being deaf and relying heavily on Lemon day to day, these sisters are a bonded pair! Lemon & Apple love, love, loveeee to snuggle. They are total noodle cats (iykyk), purr very loud at all times, and will keep you warm all hours of the night. They also love chasing their foster siblings and eachother (if you have a pet that doesn’t like to be chased for fun fyiii they are ruthless!). They also hunt toy mice! *note on the Epilepsy: While doing great and off medications for now, they are young and things ca

Story
A beautiful long- haired grey cat like myself should never have to beg. But, maybe a polite request for your attention? You see, I`m here in `the small animal room` at the Shelter, and a lot of folks overlook me. Most days that`s okay because I don`t like a lot of stimuli-- keep the noise down and don`t put me in with a lot of cats. I really like when my volunteer picks me up and holds me. And I`m just fine with getting petted until I`ve had enough--I twitch my tail faster and my volunteer knows to put me down again. Now, that isn`t too difficult is it, Santa ? I just need someone to adopt me who pays attention and would like petting me, maybe in a nice quiet home with a soft couch ???. Remember, whoever my human is will be getting a beautiful cat who will be their cat furever. Thanks for sharing my letter, Santa, because sometimes it`s a little lonely here. Sincerely yours, Miss SuniSuni came to the shelter as a stray in March of 2024•4 years old•Negative for FIV/FeLv•Microchip •Spayed•Not sure about other animals- will coexist with them but would rather not cuddle them??•Would do best in a quiet home Come visit Suni at the shelter during open hours Monday-Friday 12p-5p, Saturday 11a-4p
