Story
Meet Brooks — Your Shy, Handsome, Gentle-Hearted Companion    Brooks is a stunning long-haired black older kitten with soft, silky fur and bright, soulful eyes. He was rescued a little later in kittenhood, so the world has been a big, new place for him. With time, patience, and kindness, this sweet boy has slowly learned that humans can be safe and loving — and now he’s ready to find a home of his very own.    Personality Brooks is a sensitive, thoughtful kitten who likes to take things at his own pace. Once he feels safe, he leans in for gentle pets, purrs softly, and enjoys being near his trusted people. He’s playful, curious, and full of sweetness — he just needs someone who understands that building trust is a journey, not a race.    Loves Other Cats Brooks absolutely adores other cats. Confident feline friends help him feel braver and more at ease, so he would thrive in a home with at least one friendly resident cat who can show him the ropes.    Churu Enthusiast One guaranteed way to Brooks’s heart? Churu treats. They are his absolute favorite, and they help him bond quickly with new people. If you have Churu, he has time for you.    Ideal Home Brooks will do best in a calm, patient home with adopters who appreciate a shy kitty’s gentle process of opening up. With the right environment — love, reassurance, and maybe a confident cat buddy — he will blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion.   If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in earning the trust of a tender, sensitive soul, Brooks is ready to reward you with quiet affection, soft purrs, and a lifetime of love.    Brooks isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for his person. Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hey there, my name is Suits! I’m a dashing 2-year-old, neutered male, tuxedo cat with soft medium-length fur that’s just begging to be pet. I was found as a stray January 2025 and brought to MaxFund, now I am looking for my fur-ever home! You may find me tucked away in a cozy hiding spot, but if you take the time to look, you`ll see that I have nothing but love to give. I adore pets and absolutely love people-once I know you, I`ll melt under your gentle touch. I love head rubs! Scratch behind my ears, and I’ll melt right into your hands. I’m also a total lap snuggler. I dream of the day I can curl up with my favorite human, purring away as we watch movies together. I’m a happy, playful boy loves to explore. Whether it’s chasing a wand toy, investigating a new cozy spot, or just following my human around for attention, I always bring a little extra joy to the day. Now, all I need is my forever home—a best friend to share my days with, cuddle up to, and love for the rest of my life. Could that be you? Come meet me, and let’s start our happily ever after!I haven`t met any dogs or kids, I do get along with other cats though. If you have kids, you can bring them to meet me! If you have a dog, the shelter staff can test me with a MaxFund dog and see how I do.If you think I would be a good fit for your home, please come to the shelter to meet me!The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.
