Story
Artesia is a sweet, affectionate and playful girl. She’s inquisitive and curious. She loves to be held and thinks that riding around on her foster mom’s shoulders is so much fun! This curious girl likes to investigate, climb and jump over everything, and play - a lot. She has a lovely purr motor, and she is a master biscuit maker. Artesia could share her home and person/peeps with a mellow, cat-friendly dog(s) after slow, thoughtful introductions, but no other cats for this “Queen Bee.” Although she did a great job of raising her kittens (with whom she was surrendered to a shelter when her former owner was moving), Artesia is not a fan of other cats. Although this Love Bug is about 2.5 years old, she is a very active cat and her foster mom describes her as very 'kitten-like.' If you think Artesia might be the loving, present companion you are looking for, please submit an application for her today. Artesia is thriving in a foster home in Lakewood and would love to meet you. Foster: IM Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Hello friends, my name is Carbon. I actually prefer to be called Reba but since this is my second time in the care of A.R.R. I'm listed under my previous name, Carbon. I know that sounds confusing but so is my life right now. You see, a year and a half ago, when I was just a teenager, I was brought from an out of state shelter to Colorado by Animal Rescue of the Rockies in order to save my life. I was adopted pretty quickly but a year and a half later I was brought back because of a dog who didn't like me. I didn't do anything wrong but my mom said that I am such a great cat that she couldn't see me having to spend my life hiding under a bed for safety. Personally, I think they should have gotten rid of the dog but here I am again looking for my forever family. So, you probably want to know more about me other than the fact that there's a dog out there that doesn't like me. Well, my last mom and my two-time foster mom give me glowing reviews. Although I do hear quite frequently how gorgeous I am there's more to me than just a pretty tuxedo with a fluffy tail. I am also quite the lover. I will talk and rub up against your leg when you enter a room and if you are sitting I'll probably climb up into your lap once I get to know you. I have great manners and a lot of class so I keep myself clean and no litter box accidents.I'd say that I'm pretty easy to get along with and would probably do well with another cat. I probably don't want to be around dogs again as my last experience wasn't so good. I have experience with being at home alone while my human was at work, so if you have to work it's okay, but expect that I'll be waiting for you at the door to let you know how happy I am to see you! I am up to date on my shots, microchipped, spayed and have tested negative for FIV and FELV.I have moved too much in my little lifetime and would love to find a family who will love me forever. Story
Sheeba is a very affectionate cat. We have lived together for eleven years. My daughter picked her out from the Humane Society when she was a year old. She is in excelent health. In all these years she has only been sick once. She caught Covid 19 from me. It took her three weeks to get over it. She likes to go outside, but has never killed anything. She makes friends with all people and animals, except for other cats. I think she was traumatized being in a room with several cats at the Humane Society. She only eats dry food and treats. I am moving to Costa Rica, and will drive there in abut a week. Sheeba is fine in a car for short trips, but does not like trips that take days. She is a great cat. The best of all that I have had in my life. She needs, and deserves, a good home.

Story
Ciao, Bella! This beautiful girl is searching for her purr-fect home. We know Bella is quite the lovebug when it's on her terms, but may need some time to herself every now and then (who doesn't?). For this reason, she'd do best going home with kiddos 12+. She'll need a home that can provide plenty of mental and physical enrichment and plenty of outlets for her extra energy. Bella would like the be the only cat in the home, and would only like living with a dog if given a slow introduction and the resident dog(s) is cool around cats. Bella will fill your days with bountiful laughter and love, consider welcoming her into the home today!April 25, 2024, 11:19 pm

Story
Edna is a quiet girl who's looking for a peaceful life. She's had a hard time in the shelter and would love the tranquility of a fur-ever home. Edna lived with other cats in her previous home and did well with them, but please plan to give a very, very, gradual introduction for Edna to your current pets and into the home. Edna needs a patient family who can let her go at her pace to adjust to new things. She is also not a huge fan of being picked up and handled. She would do best with kiddos 12+ who can respect her space when she needs it. This girl, though very shy, would love to join your home. Adopt her today!April 25, 2024, 11:19 pm
