My name is Nolyn and I am a black domestic mediumhair. I am a neutered male and I am 10 months old. I am at the shelter because I was found as a stray on 05/03/2024. I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a medium energy cat and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with other cats and I can be good with dogs.All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.

Spicey was born out of our cat colony. She was outside in an enclosed catio when she was born, then when it started to get cold we brought her in the house. She’s super sweet and gets along with a dog and all the other cats in the home. (We have 4 that we are rehoming due to 2 colony cats getting pregnant before we were able to catch and release them). Litter box trained. We hate to rehome them but 7 cats in the home is a lot.

We adopted Ozzy from a home that had big dogs and other cats. We weren’t aware that he is deathly afraid of dogs and our home has 3. We have tried to acclimate Ozzy for 6 months but he is not happy at all and hides away and cries a lot. If he is around just one of the adults in the home, he is great…so cuddly and sweet. If the kids or dogs are around he is terrified. He doesn’t like kids as there is too much going on for him. His ideal home would be a single person or couple with no kids or dogs. I am not sure if he gets along with other cats.

This cat is participating in our Camp Purr working cat program, which is designed for feral or semi-feral cats that would be happiest living outside as working cats. Adopters must provide shelter and food/water to these cats year round and need to be willing to work with our Camp Purr team to ensure these cats are acclimated appropriately and humanely to their new environment.
