HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. They'll be adopted as a pair.- Extremely friendly fella who is very bonded to his buddy- Loves to be brushed and will accepts lots of pets- Calm, gentle giant of a cat- Has lived with other cats and has done well with them- Young, noisy or very active kids can be too much for him (looking for a mature home)- This cat has a history of weakness or shaking in the hind limbs. This is likely caused by arthritis due to previous obesity (more info at ARL)- While in foster care, we saw evidence of a condition called feline inflammatory lower airway disease or feline asthma (more info at ARL)All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age) Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 19 Age: 6yrs 7mths 1wks

- Loves her cat food! - Very friendly kitty - Not a fan of having her ears touchedThis cat has shown signs of overstimulation while in the shelter. Lots of handling, playing with hands, and excessive petting can cause them to overstimulate, which can result in scratching and/or biting. This cat is looking for experienced cat owners who will watch this cat's body language while interacting to note signs of overstimulation (tail waving, fur rippling, dilated pupils, ears turned back and quick body movements) and be willing to respect their boundaries. This cat will also benefit from interactive toys such as wands and ball spinners while playing. We are happy to speak with you more when you visit and can provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat mental stimulation, patience and space when they need it, please consider adopting!
