Story
Endzone Enforcer, or “Enzi” for short, is a stunning, smoky gray beauty with a heart as gentle as her name is fierce! This sweet, shy mama came to us with her tiny kittens, and she’s done a wonderful job raising them. Now that her little ones have grown, it’s Enzi’s turn to be pampered and loved. While she may be a bit shy at first, Enzi warms up with a little patience and gentle attention. She’s got the softest purr and the sweetest way of curling up next to you once she feels safe. She’d thrive in a calm, loving home where she can finally relax and enjoy the quiet life she deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, graceful companion, Enzi would love to meet you. Give this precious mama the forever home she’s been dreaming of—you won’t regret it! Enzi’s $120 Adoption Fee is a great deal. She is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed, tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. Enzi's Estimated month of Birth is 10/2023. Visit Pals-Pets.com to fill out a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire or call 314.581.6651 to ***schedule an appointment*** to meet this pet or any others here at the shelter.

Story
Charm was living outside and came to Heartland very scared and stressed.  Her mouth was in very bad decay so she was also in pain.  Charm was seen by our vet who did a full mouth extraction, relieving her pain and allowing her to focus on the perks of being an indoor kitty. Charm took a couple of months to warm up to her foster mom, but once trust was gained, her sweet and loving personality came through.  She now loves attention and can eat food just fine. Charm is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FeLV, has been flea and parasite treated and is current on vaccinations.  She did test positive for FIV.  FIV kitties can live a normal, long life as long as they are kept indoors and given medical treatment if early signs of illness are shown.  Their immune system is not as strong so illness needs to be treated early.  FIV kitties can live with non-FIV kitties just fine as long as they are not aggressive, as FIV can be transmitted through a deep bite that draws blood.  FIV kitties do not require any daily meds or special food. Charm can eat normal cat food and is especially drawn to wet food.  She doesn't seem to mind cat friendly dogs.  HHS12989LH    November 5, 2024, 10:31 am

Story
Well, gee whiz! It’s me, Butters!I had a pretty great life up until a few months ago, when my pawrent passed away in a car accident. I found myself in the shelter, and now I’m living it up in foster care while I look for my next forever family. I’m 10 years young — but don’t let that number fool ya! I still love to run, roll over, and play with toys (or sometimes absolutely nothing at all). My foster meowmy says I’m “such a good boy,” and I just blush and say, “Aw, hamburgers!”When I’m not being adorably silly, you’ll find me curled up on a lap or snuggled close while we watch TV. I used to have a best kitty buddy I loved to snuggle with, but he passed away awhile back. These days, I prefer that other cats respect my personal bubble — especially when I’m hangry — but I can coexist with them just fine if they give me a little space. I get along splendidly with the resident senior lab, and I’d be just peachy with kiddos, too. They think I might have something called IBD, so my tummy can be a little sensitive. My stool is soft and I sometimes throw up, but I’ll be starting a once-a-day medication that should help me feel right as rain!If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, and endlessly lovable little guy who’s basically the feline version of “Oh gee whiz, I’m doing my best!”, then I’m your Butters.
