Story
Meet Pumpkin Spice Latte! At 5 years old, this gorgeous girl is impossible to miss, especially with her stunning heterochromia. One blue eye. One green eye. Both fully committed to judging us every time we walk past the treat cabinet. And yes, she absolutely believes she deserves more than one treat a day. We’ve tried explaining the rules… she remains unconvinced. Pumpkin is a big, beautiful lady with a big, beautiful appetite, and her current exercise routine mostly consists of strolling from one food dish to the next. We’re working on expanding her fitness horizons, maybe even coaxing her onto the exercise wheel. She does love her pets and attention, so we’re excited to learn what else she enjoys that helps her be more active. Her new home should be willing to explore options to help her slim down and be more active. Maybe you're looking for an accountability buddy, so is Pumpkin! The adoption fee is $125+ tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. 2025 Town and Country Animal Rescue Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary. Story
Please contact Jackie (jackie@solaspetadoption.org) for more information about this pet.quietly curious & observantMeet Truffle  Truffle is a quietly curious little lady who prefers to observe the world before diving in. She loves watching her humans go about their day and will occasionally allow gentle pets once she’s decided you’re worthy. If you’re quick enough to catch her, she’ll tolerate being picked up for short cuddle sessions—on her terms, of course. Truffle gets along beautifully with other kittens and cats and would thrive with a confident feline friend to show her the ropes. She’s also been around a small (12 lb) Yorkie mix in foster care and handled it like a champ. Toys are a big hit, and she never says no to wet food or crunchy treats. Rescued from a window well in Glenwood, Truffle has already shown how resilient she is. With patience, love, and maybe a few treats, she’ll continue to blossom into a wonderful companion for the right home—especially one that appreciates a gentle, independent soul. Story
Loves to play My name is Mr. Puff. I also go by Puffer, Puff, or Puffy. If I’m not lounging around in a spot I’ve claimed as my own, you will find me playing with toys, or carving messages into a scratching post. If you can catch me, I’ll let you love on me for a little while, but then I’m back to playing. While in foster care I have been around other cats/kittens and a small dog.   Contact SOLAS today to adopt me! November 3, 2025, 8:50 pm

Story
Please contact Jackie (jackie@solaspetadoption.org) for more information about this pet.hansome , sweet, loves attentionJack is a 6–7 month old sweetheart with a heart full of love and a story of incredible resilience. He was found on a freezing country night, weak, sick, and covered in cockleburs, but even then, Jack chose to trust. After receiving vet care for ear mites and an ear infection (now resolved!), Jack has blossomed into the affectionate, people-loving kitten he was always meant to be. At a recent vet visit, we learned that Jack is either blind or can't see well at all—but don’t let that word fool you. Jack doesn’t know he’s any different. He navigates his world with confidence, relies on his other senses, and focuses on what truly matters to him: cuddles, comfort, and human connection. In fact, his standing medical order remains the same—unlimited cuddles required. Jack is gentle, loving, and deeply appreciative of being safe and warm. He’s the kind of cat who melts into your arms and reminds you that love doesn’t depend on sight—it depends on trust. Jack is ready for a calm, understanding forever home where he can continue to thrive and be cherished for exactly who he is. If you’re looking for a special companion with an extraordinary heart, Jack is waiting.February 5, 2026, 9:12 pm

Story
This is Bug, a senior sweetie.  He was taken in as a stray, so we're not sure of his age, but he is older.  He is extremely sweet and docile.  He's been around other cats - he was very calm and respectful of their space.  He did not show any aggressive behaviors.  Bug loves snuggles and pets.  He's very trusting of new people.  He always uses the litter box. Bug is super-super sweet and deserves to be with people who will love and care for him.  We're not completely sure of his prior situation, but it's clear he loves to soak up all the human attention he can get.  If you're looking for a friendly cat that is house trained and you have time to provide quality time for snuggles, Bug might be the one for you.   The perfect home for Bug would be with people who will give him lots of love.  He was malnourished when he was found, but he has gained some weight and seems to be at a healthy weight now.  Bug is currently getting ear drops for an ear infection.  He might need to have some dental work, so potential adopters should be aware of that.  Bug is FIV positive which means he has a weaker immune system.   The suggested adoption donation for Bug is $85, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note:  A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
