Meet Persephone and Styx! This beautiful, bonded pair of 6-year-old cats has quite the story to tell. Once rescued from a high-kill shelter, these two were adopted out together as kittens, only to find their way back to us when their owner could no longer care for them. After some time with us, they’ve slowly begun to open up, finding comfort with a select group of people here. While they may never be lap cats, Persephone and Styx have shown they’re happiest observing life’s moments from a safe distance. That said, who knows what the future holds for this special duo? We believe that with time, patience, and a quiet, loving home, these two can truly thrive. If you’re the kind of person who understands the beauty of building trust at their pace, Styx and Persephone might just be the perfect pair for you. Are you ready to let them be themselves and build a one-of-a-kind connection? If so, these two are waiting to meet their special someone. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. Styx is bonded to Persephone and they must be adopted together. Please note, that we do NOT allow the declawing of any cat or kitten we adopt unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws. We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. Maximillion is a sweet, biscuit boy. He loves to play with a wand toy, fetch balls, chase mice, climb (cat) furniture and do tricks for treats. He’s so smart, in fact, that he will give you high fives, beg, and spin for some sweet treats. Unfortunately, he does not do well with dogs. He’s can get easily overstimulated/stressed by them. Because of this, he’s best as an only pet in a calmer household with no dogs. I don’t have other cats right now, so I don’t know how he’d do with them. If you have cats, I’d recommend keeping them separate and slowly introducing them (Jackson Galaxy has a great process for this). Max might be your new adventure buddy. He is experienced being in a harness on a leash! I will send him off to the right home with a ton of cat toys and his bed to help him adjust. Max just had his annual vet check up and got his rabies shot. Are you ready to win over his heart?

Little adventurer, big spirit! Birdie is a lively, curious kitten who’s always ready for fun! She loves to chase toys, explore new spaces, and show off her playful personality. True to her name, she’s quick on her paws and full of energy — a little adventurer with a big spirit.While Birdie isn’t too fond of being held for long, she enjoys being near her people and joining in on the action. Striking green eyed sweetheart! Due to no fault of his own, this sweet boy found his way into one of our traps during a TNR session. It wasn’t until after he went in with the group that we realized he was a super sweet and friendly guy with lots of love to give! He was microchipped and his previous owner was contacted, but haven’t received a response. Of course, I told him, “I got you from here buddy.” He has been safe, warm and loved on since.Meet Jett. A love-wealthy, newly single bachelor that’s ready to mingle. He may have lost half an ear, but that doesn’t take away from his charming features and striking green eyes, that with every long gaze, seem to reach directly into your soul.Jett gets along with other cats as long as he can be introduced slowly. If I’m not lounging around in a spot I’ve claimed as my own, you will find me playing with toys, or carving messages into a scratching post. If you can catch me, I’ll let you love on me for a little while, but then I’m back to playing. Sweetheart Sisters! Daisy and Petunia are a pair of bonded sisters that are the sweetest, most lovable things you’ll ever meet. They are about 3-years-old and looking for their forever home together!
